The authors of the musical are Alyn Cardarelli, a graduate of The Second City Training Center and co-founder of Emerald City Theatre, Chicago's largest theatre dedicated to families and Steve Goers, a versatile musician and performer who is a faculty member of the CCM Musical Theatre Department. They have revised the original show specifically for the CCM Prep Department Theatre Arts program by rewriting songs and script appropriate for middle school actors and singers.
