The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati Establishes Groundbreaking Resident Artist Company

The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT), the country's oldest professional theatre for young audiences, is proud to announce that it is accepting submissions for its very first Resident Artist Company.  The nine-member troupe will receive a full-time salary with benefits.  Each member of the Resident Artist Company will be guaranteed four to five performance projects each year and participate in touring, teaching, new works development and arts administration.

Collegiate Theatrics: CCM's RYAN GARRETT

One of the best parts of covering and reviewing theater in one region for almost 30 years is seeing new talent emerge from among the area's younger actors. Take, for example, Ryan Garrett - a 2012 First Night Most Promising Actor and a graduate of Williamson County's Centennial High School, he now studies at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, a program that has encouraged him to think outside the box and which has challenged him with ever-more intense roles onstage and in the classroom.

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) has secured the rights to present the Tony Award-winning musical blockbuster American Idiot as part of its 2015-16 Mainstage Series. Running March 3 - 13, 2016, in CCM's Patricia Corbett Theater, this will be the first local production of the acclaimed rock opera.

The concert program features ballets by guest choreographers Michael Bearden and Tong Wang, as well as works by CCM Dance faculty members. Under the direction of Brant Russell, Assistant Professor of Drama, Macbeth will make its CCM debut Oct. 2 through 5 in CCM's Patricia Corbett Theater, with a preview performance at 8 p.m. tonight, Oct. 1.

Announcing CCM's 2014-15 Concert Series

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) has announced initial details on its 2014-15 Concert Series. Encompassing over 50 different concerts, this series begins with a performance by the internationally acclaimed Ariel Quartet with legendary guest artist Menahem Pressler on Sept. 9, 2014, and concludes with a number of performances by CCM's Preparatory Department running May 1 - 9, 2015.
