William Shakespeare's swift and relentless tragedy, Macbeth, comes to Theater at Monmouth. Filled with ghosts, witches, and dark prophecies, Macbeth will run for one weekend only in Cumston Hall this weekend, October 17-19 before heading out on the road as part of the theatre's Shakespeare in Maine Communities Education Tour.

William Shakespeare's swift and relentless tragedy, Macbeth, comes to Theater at Monmouth. Filled with ghosts, witches, and dark prophecies, Macbeth will run for one weekend only in Cumston Hall October 17-19 before heading out on the road as part of the theatre's Shakespeare in Maine Communities Education Tour. Macbeth will tour for three weeks to schools and community centers across the state.

Strawdog Theatre Company and Interim Artistic Director Hank Boland announced a week extension of the world premiere of Philip Dawkins' Miss Marx: or The Involuntary Side Effect of Living directed by Megan Shuchman, Strawdog Theatre Company is located at 3829 N. Broadway Street. The additional performances are Sunday, March 30 at 4 p.m. and Thursday, April 3 - Today, April 5 at 8 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays, Fridays and Todays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Single Tickets are $28 and are currently on sale. Strawdog and Victory Gardens' Crip Slam to Present Fully Accessible Performance of MISS MARX: OR THE INVOLUNTARY SIDE EFFECT OF LIVING, 3/13

Strawdog Theatre Company and Interim Artistic Director Hank Boland and Crip Slam, part of Victory Gardens Access Project, announce a fully accessible performance of the world premiere of Philip Dawkins' Miss Marx: or The Involuntary Side Effect of Living directed by Megan Shuchman, Thursday, March 13 at 8 p.m. at Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, in the Prince Charitable Trust Rehearsal Room, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave. This performance will be fully wheelchair accessible. Audio description, open captioning and a touch tour of elements from the production will also be provided. Immediately following that night's performance there will be a post show talk back with the playwright and director. This performance is pay what you can at the door with reservations requested. Reservations may be made at boxoffice@strawdog.org or 773.528.9696. In addition to the Victory Garden performance, an ASL performance is scheduled for Saturday, March 16 at 4 p.m. at Strawdog Theatre. Strawdog Theatre Company and Interim Artistic Director Hank Boland have announced the third production in their 2013 - 2014 season, the world premiere of Philip Dawkins' Miss Marx: or The Involuntary Side Effect of Living directed by Megan Shuchman, Strawdog Theatre Company is located at 3829 N. Broadway Street. Preview performance tickets are $15 with performances Fridays, Feb. 14 and Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. There is a Board Preview performance, Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m., with $50 tickets that include access to a post-performance reception.
