Maestro Christopher Seaman leads the Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra (HSO) in a Sunday afternoon of French Romance featuring popular masterworks by French composers Saint-Saens and Franck, and the HSO debut of violinist Tessa Lark on March 20 at 4 pm. The winner of the prestigious Naumburg International Violin Award, Lark will perform the Saint-Saens Violin Concerto No.3 in B Minor. Lark, who is praised by critics and audiences alike for her astounding range of sounds, technical agility and musical elegance, was named the Silver Medalist of the 2014 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, making her the highest-ranked American-born winner in the Competition's history. To add an international twist, the HSO's French Romance program opens with a masterwork from across the English Channel, Britten's Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell - better known as the 'Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.'  The Chamber Music Society of Detroit will present Musicians from Marlboro as part of the Marlboro Music Festival's 50th anniversary 8-city national tour on Saturday, April 9, 2016, 8 PM at Seligman Performing Arts Center.  This year's ensemble features brilliant young professional musicians together with celebrated master artists, including violinists Robin Scott and Itamar Zorman, violist Samuel Rhodes, cellist Brook Speltz and pianist Cynthia Raim.  The program includes Haydn's String Quartet in C major, Op. 20, No. 2, Alban Berg's Lyric Suite, and Dvo?ak's Piano Quintet in A major.

  Grammy Award-winning pianist Emanuel Ax returns to Carnegie Hall for four performances this spring, first joining celebrated violinist Pamela Frank for a program of Mozart violin sonatas on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall.

Festival General Director Nigel Redden announces the program for the 40th annual Spoleto Festival USA, taking place May 27 through June 12, 2016 in Charleston, South Carolina.

Pianist Emanuel Ax joins the LA Phil in three performances led by conductor Daniel Harding at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Friday and Saturday, January 8 and 9, at 8 pm, and Sunday, January 10, at 2 pm. The concerts mark Ax's 40th anniversary performing with the LA Phil, making him one of the longest-term collaborators with the orchestra.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in the World Premiere- Philharmonic Commission of Marc Neikrug's Canta-Concerto, featuring mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke; Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 2, with Emanuel Ax as soloist; and Brahms's Tragic Overture. The North Carolina Symphony, led by guest conductor Karina Canellakis, will perform a two-night Russian Festival that features two different programs of some of classical music's greatest works at the 2015 Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series today, June 12 and Saturday June 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Cary's Booth Amphitheatre. Gates open for the concert series at 5:30 p.m. Children 12 and under are free on the lawn.

Bach's monumental Cello Suites with an Album Wrap Party & Concert at The Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center (Samuel B. & David Rose Building, 70 Lincoln Center Plaza, 165 W. 65th St.).

Long Island's longest-running classical music festival launches a new spring series this year. The Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, which since 1984 has taken place every summer in the beautiful seaside setting of the island's East End, will inaugurate BCMF Spring with two Sunday concerts, on March 22 and April 26, 2015.
