Murney, Shindle, Adams & More Set for 'Dreams' Benefit, 11/23

Nick Adams, Paul Canaan, Jenn Colella, Blake Daniel, Jenn Gambatese, Tyler Hanes, Lauren Kennedy, Julia Murney, Matt Risch, and Kate Schindle are among the Broadway stars who will participate in the Broadway Dreams Foundation's (BDF) Holiday Benefit Concert on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 7 p.m. at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre at the West Side Y. The star-studded evening of entertainment will benefit the non-profit organization which brings young talent closer to their Broadway dreams regardless of their financial status through intensive week-long Broadway training programs throughout the country.

Theatre Aspen is thrilled to announce that open auditions for the show are being held at the Rio Grande Meeting Room, 445 Rio Grande Place, on Saturday October 24th, from noon - 5 p.m. Additional information is available at 970-925-9313. Auditions are open to young actors aged 12 - 18. Director is David Ledingham, Musical Director is David Dyer.

Theatre Aspen is thrilled to announce that tickets are on sale for the upcoming TAS Conservatory production of '13,' a grown-up story about growing up which premiered on Broadway last season. The show features music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, with a book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn, and will be presented January 15th and 16th at 7 p.m., at the District Theatre.

Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company announced today that Broadway legend Ann Reinking will choreograph the world premiere of Time After Time, which will run at Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse from Feb. 26 through March 14, 2010. Gabriel Barre directs. Time After Time is a new musical with book and lyrics by Stephen Cole and music by Jeffrey Saver.

Theater Aspen Receives A Henry Award For Outstanding Regional Theatre

Theater Aspen received an award for Outstanding Regional Theatre at the 4th Annual Henry Awards ceremony held at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts on Monday June 29th. Artistic Director Paige Price accepted the award, given by the Colorado Theatre Guild, which was founded in 1976 and boasts 250 members.

The American Theatre Wing's 63rd Annual Antoinette Perry 'Tony' Awards were held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, 2009 and broadcast on the CBS Television Network. In keeping with the 'Zombie Prom' theme of the evening Batt, who appeared in nine Broadway productions, including Saturday Night Fever, Beauty and the Beast and Seussical, will not only perform as part of the evening's entertainment, but will judge the evening's contest for Prom King and Queen.

Eric Sciotto was the Gypsy Robe recipient for Pal Joey at Studio 54. He passed on the robe to Shrek's talented dynamo Jennifer Cody in a fun and emotion filled ceremony. The colorful Gypsy Robe, embellished with mementos from Broadway musicals, is presented to the cast member who has the most Broadway chorus credits.
