HAMILTON's star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is currently in discussions to star in Disney's upcoming sequel to the beloved film MARY POPPINS.

As BroadwayWorld reported this afternoon, Paper Mill Playhouse has just revealed its 2016-17 season, featuring four musicals, one play and a highly anticipated US premiere. Following the company's annual picture game inspiring audiences to guess the upcoming season, Paper Mill has followed it up with a second image, this time explaining the first. Following its annual season guessing game, Paper Mill Playhouse announced today the lineup for its 2016-2017 season, featuring four musicals, one play and a highly anticipated US premiere. Mary Poppins will be flying into Reston CenterStage February 19-March 12 as the Reston Community Players present the seven time Tony award nominated musical.

GTA, now in its 36th season, opened to sellout crowds for the stage production of P.L. As previously reported, Rob Marshall (Into the Woods, Chicago) will direct a new Disney film based on their classic 1964 movie, MARY POPPINS. Speaking to Vulture, the helmer revealed more about the project, which will take place in 1934, when the original P.L. Travers books -- about the magical nanny's continued adventures with the Banks family -- were written and could include a cameo (or more, please!) by the original film's legendary star.
