Earnest has five male characters: two in their 20s, and three in their 50s-60s. There are four female roles: two ages 18-25 and two in their 50s-60s. The auditions are cold readings from the script; a British accent is preferred. No parts are pre-cast. This production will be directed by Carol Strachan and produced by Terry Yates.

Variety reports that the stage adaptation of 'The Shawshank Redemption' that played at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre will get a West End run in the fall. Based on the Stephen King novella that also inspired the 1994 movie version of 'Shawshank', the plot centers on the friendship two men develop over their time as inmates in a notoriously tough prison.
