The Donmar Warehouse production of Christopher Hampton's Les Liaisons Dangereuses, starring Tony Award winners Janet McTeer and Liev Schreiber, directed by the Donmar's Artistic Director Josie Rourke, begins performances on Saturday, October 8, 2016 and will open on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th St). This is a 15-week only engagement throughSunday, January 22, 2017.  As previously announced, Janet McTeer will play 'La Marquise de Merteuil,' Liev Schreiber will play 'Le Vicomte de Valmont,' Birgitte Hjort Sorensen will play 'Madame de Tourvel' and Mary Beth Peil will play 'Madame de Rosemonde.'  The company just met the press and you can check out photos from the big day below!

Steppenwolf Theatre Company has added an additional offering to the LookOut summer lineup in the new 1700 Theatre, 1700 N Halsted. Love Kills: A Concert Reading by writer/composer Kyle Jarrow is a new rock musical about the famous teen spree killer Charlie Starkweather starring Steppenwolf ensemble members Jeff Perry and Ora Jones with Patrick Rooney. Directed by Kent Paul with musical direction by Matt Hinkley, there will be five performances: Friday, July 1 at 8pm, Saturday July 2 and Sunday, July 3 at 2:30 and 8pm. The producers are Ellen Raphael, Kent Paul and Tommy Russell. Tickets ($25) are available now through Audience Services (1650 N Halsted) 312-335-1650 and steppenwolf.org.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and members of the Chicago City Council today  honored Steppenwolf Theatre Company's 40th Anniversary, recognizing the organization for its invaluable artistic contributions to Chicago. Additionally, in a separate resolution, Mayor Emanuel and the City Council paid special tribute to former Steppenwolf artistic director Martha Lavey on her two decades of transformational leadership from 1995 to 2015.

? Steppenwolf Theatre Company will to welcome Sandra Marquez and Caroline Neff to its world-renowned ensemble. Both have performed in multiple shows with the company and can currently be seen on Steppenwolf's stages in Mary Page Marlowe and The Flick respectively. Marquez and Neff are the first two members added under Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro.

Broadway In Chicago has announced that individual tickets for MATILDA THE MUSICAL, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, go on sale to the public on Friday, January 22.  The First National Tour of MATILDA THE MUSICAL will play Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W Randolph) March 22 through April 10, 2016.
