Norm Lewis, Ben Vereen & More to Take Part in BLACK STARS OF THE GREAT WHITE WAY Concert, 2/17

Broadway Choral director/arranger Chapman Roberts has created a blockbuster evening of Broadway showstoppers featuring and award winning all male cast that include Norm Lewis, Andre DeShields, Ben Vereen, Keith David, Larry Marshall, Keith Robinson, Ted Louis Levy, Omar Edwards, Frank Owens, and Longineu Parsons being held in the Queensborough Performing Arts Center (located at Queensborough Community College) 222-05 56th Avenue, Bayside, New York.

Even if you have heard the Tuskegee Airmen's story before, I urge you to take a chance on this exceptional production. It's heart-felt, challenging, and certainly well-presented. Ford's has definitely started its 2012-2013 season out with a bang.

Hell's Kitchen The Musical opened Off-Broadway February 11th at The Hudson Guild Theater. Veteran singer/songwriter and composer Jon Montgomery (Foreigner, KISS) adapted Hell's Kitchen The Musical from his screenplay 'The King Of 42nd Street.' He teamed up with pianist and composer Toby Kasavan (Bootsy Collins, Wilson Pickett), and after the score and book was written, Hell's Kitchen was first showcased at 353 Studios in 2004.

It takes place in the early 1960's in a neighborhood both feared and respected by those who stepped within it's borders. It follows the life of Danny Vincente and his friends and family through the warmth and the heartbreak of their lives. It has doowop on street corners, street smart scams, rooftop sanctuaries, mobsters, strippers and the scintillating rock scene of the true 1960's. It has 25 songs based on the values of old Broadway.
