SOCIAL CREATURES World Premiere to Begin Performances at Trinity Rep, 3/14
by BWW News Desk - Feb 21, 2013

Dig yourself out of the depths of winter doldrums with Trinity Rep's world premiere of Social Creatures, a strangely beautiful, beautifully strange 'dramedy' about the end of the world as we know it. Like nothing Trinity Rep audiences have seen before, this world premiere play was commissioned in 2010 from Jackie Sibblies Drury - a remarkable new playwright and graduate of the Brown MFA playwriting program.

by BWW News Desk - Jan 11, 2013

Trinity Rep leaps into 2013 with a bold retelling of Dostoyevsky's classic psychological novel Crime and Punishment, directed by Brian Mertes. Opening in previews on January 17 and running through February 24 at Trinity Rep, co-adaptors Marilyn Campbell and Curt Columbus have spun Dostoyevsky's complex story into a 90-minute, three actor tour-de-force with a modern, poetic flair. Moving seamlessly between past and present, the play's tension - will a man get away with murder? Should he? - builds to an explosive climax. Get a first look at the cast in the rehearsal photos below!

THE HOW AND THE WHY Set for Trinity Rep, Now thru 12/30
by BWW News Desk - Nov 29, 2012

Fresh off the sold-out run of season opener King Lear, Trinity Rep continues their 49th Season with Sarah Treem's fast and smart new play The How and the Why, directed by Shana Gozansky. Opening in previews tonight, November 29 and running through December 30 at Trinity Rep, this powerful and intimate production features two brilliant characters - one in her fifties, one her twenties - each with her own take on the controversial debate surrounding the theory of female evolution. In this funny, gripping new play, a mentor and her protege bond and spar over the personal and professional consequences of their own diametrically opposed theories. Inspiring and provocative, this witty gem from Sarah Treem (of HBO's In Treatment) is both engrossing and powerful.

Review - Judge Me Paris
by Ben Peltz - May 25, 2012

Snooty Manhattanites such as I generally have a short list of offerings that would lure us all the way out to Brooklyn.  For some it's a steak at Peter Lugar.  For others, it's the Rodins at the Brooklyn Museum.  But the quickest way to get me aboard a Gowanus-bound F train is to say that director/choreographer Austin McCormick has got a new theatre/dance piece for his Company XIV.
