Paula Abdul, dancer, singer, and star of 'American Idol,' is set for the Hudson Union Society on May 17th at 7 p.m.

As the 50th anniversary approaches in 2013 for one of the darkest, saddest days in modern American history - the assassination of President John F. Kennedy - plans have been announced for production of a major motion picture based on the New York Times bestselling book, The Kennedy Detail, written by former Secret Service agent Gerald Blaine and award-winning journalist Lisa McCubbin, with a foreword by former agent Clint Hill.

SAVAGES will be released in theaters on July 6th 2012 from Universal Pictures. The drama/thriller is directed by Oliver Stone who also co-wrote the script with Don Winslow and Shane Salerno. The cast includes Taylor Kitsch, Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch and Demian Bichir.

National Geographic Channels announced today that Academy Award-Nominated actor Josh Brolin will narrate Untamed Americas - the four-hour high-definition miniseries event that reveals the grit and glory in the wilds of North America, Central America and South America.

YoungArts, the core program of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts is proud to welcome several world-renowned artists to Miami January 9-14, 2012, to serve as Master Teachers for YoungArts Week. New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT), which has supported the advancement of women in the entertainment industry for more than 30 years, will present their 31th annual Muse Awards at a gala luncheon to be held Wednesday, December 7th at the New York Hilton.

According to published reports, stage veteran Peter Weller is set to join previously announced Chrias Pine and Zachary Quinto in the upcoming sequel to J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek.' Weller will play a CEO in the film, which is set for a May 2013 release.
