BWW Recap: The One Where We Want To Love THE GOOD WIFE Again
by Jacqueline Bublitz
- Oct 12, 2015
We want to love THE GOOD WIFE. We're a bit like Chicago voters in that way. So the way I see it, as Eli and Ruth attempt to rehabilitate Alicia this season, they're really in the process of remaking the show itself. Getting it back on the right path. The one where we'd follow Alicia Florrick anywhere, because she's that damn good.
BWW Reviews: SPY Lets Melissa McCarthy Have Her Action and Her Comedy Too
by Katricia Lang
- Jun 6, 2015
Behind every devilishly good-looking spy is a strong, frumpy woman. Behind the debonair and conceited Bradley Fine (Jude Law) is dowdy desk jockey cum CIA analyst Susan Cooper (McCarthy). Cooper is so smitten and preoccupied with the fantasy version of Fine in her head that she can't see how daft and self-involved he is. Nor can she see how smart and caring she is.
BWW Recap: The Past Is In the Past... Except in NASHVILLE
by Wendi Reichstein
- Apr 29, 2015
Couples fever is in the air... though the happiness isn't quite. Rayna is jet setting for work, terrified to leave Deacon, Juliette and Avery (but mostly Juliette) and struggling to find the balance between mother and career, Scarlett and Dr. Rand... well, they're pretty good. But they're also still in the honeymoon phrase. As our Jade St. John and Luke Wheeler. Juliette has no reason to feel like the worst mother in the world- Micah's mom (whose name escapes me) knocks on Gunnar's door, oblivious to the fact that a) Gunnar knows the truth and b) her son hasn't lived with him in nearly three months. Mother of the Year she is not.
BWW Recap: It's Time to Meet 'This Guy' on SELFIE!
by Dylan Siegman
- Nov 12, 2014
Sadly, a few days ago, the news broke that SELFIE wouldn't last a full season. While it's going to be a hard goodbye, to a show that had a lot of promise, that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the episodes we have left, which is unclear at this point. This week's episode not only brought budding relationships, but also the return of the loveably quirky, Bryn, played by Allyn Rachel!

THIRTY DAYS WITH MY FATHER: FINDING PEACE FROM WARTIME PTSD By Christal Presley is Now Available
by BWW News Desk
- Feb 24, 2014
When Christal Presley's father was eighteen, he was drafted to Vietnam. Like many men of that era who returned home with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), he was never the same. He spent much of her childhood locked in his room, gravitating between the deepest depression and unspeakable rage, unable to participate in holidays or birthdays. At a very young age, Christal learned to walk on eggshells, doing anything and everything not to provoke him, but this dance caused her to become a profoundly disturbed little girl. She acted out at school, engaged in self-mutilation, and couldn't make friends. At the age of eighteen, Christal left home and didn't look back. She barely spoke to her father for the next thirteen years.
