Vulture.com welcomed actress Stephanie J. Block and composer Jason Robert Brown for 'The Art of Songwriting' at the first Vulture Festival, a weekend of pop culture events in New York City on May 10-11. During the event, Brown spoke to New York magazine theater critic Jesse Green about composing for musicals and played and sang some of his tunes with additional vocal accompaniment by Block. Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's 'Pay What You Want' Company, has announced Art in the Park, a special event for kids and families on Saturday, May 17 at 6pm prior to the 8:00 curtain for that evening's performance. Art in the Park is being held in conjunction with the critically acclaimed Coeurage production of David Saar's The Yellow Boat. Directed by Joseph V. Calarco, the play's engagement runs through Saturday, May 25 only.

Michael Locklair directs this madcap farce about egomaniacal Broadway director, Oscar Jaffe, who has a twenty hour train ride from Chicago to New York to convince, now Hollywood star, Lily Garland to return to Broadway in his upcoming show. Twentieth Century arrives on stage tonight, May 2 at 8:00 pm and May 3, 8, 9,10,15, 16 and 17 at 8:00 pm with matinees on May 11 & 18 at 3:00 pm.
