BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY, a new play by Anne Washburn, with music by Obie Award winner Michael Friedman. Directed by Steve Cosson, the Obie Award-winning Artistic Director of The Civilians, MR. BURNS is being presented as the first production of Playwrights Horizons' 2013/2014 Season.

One of the most successful and iconic music releases of the Eighties, Peter Gabriel's 1986 album, So, has been digitally remastered for a special 25th Anniversary Edition to be released October 23rd (October 22nd internationally) by Real World Records/EMI in multiple physical and digital configurations. Peter Gabriel has confirmed a 16-date North American tour for September and October, with many of the musicians from his 1987 'So' tour joining him to perform the album from start to finish, as well as other hits spanning his solo career.

It may be the final week of Lincoln Center Out of Doors, but the festival isn't winding down when it comes to exciting performances. This week, Lincoln Center celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the landmark Soul at the Center, highlighted by Valerie Simpson's first tribute to her late partner, Nick Ashford, since his passing. The pair that wrote such Motown hits as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)," and "I'm Every Woman," made their performing debut as a duo at Lincoln Center 40 years ago. The Tribute takes place on Friday, August 10 at Damrosch Park.

Lincoln Center Out of Doors, which runs from July 25 to August 12, will feature 100 free performances across the plazas of Lincoln Center. Seventeen premieres and debuts highlight the three weeks of this latest edition of one of the country's longest-running, free, outdoor festivals. To mark the first anniversary, SHREK THE MUSICAL® will open its doors to the public for a FREE, ogre-sized, family fete at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on May 6, 2012. There will be party games, competitions, sweet treats, storytelling, theatre tours and opportunities to meet the cast from 11am to 2pm.

Five acts from the 1970s will come together one night only to create an old-school disco party. The Legends of Disco LIVE at the Hammerstein Ballroom-NYC will showcase LIVE performances from five legendary disco hit makers: CHIC starring Nile Rodgers, The Trammps featuring Earl Young, Tavares, France Joli, and Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, with MCs Deney Terrio from Dance Fever and Joe Causi from CBS-FM.
