TV: Karen Mason Brings UNFINISHED BUSINESS Concert to CAP21

Broadway Star, Karen Mason (Wonderland, Mamma Mia! and the upcoming Broadway show, Rebecca), brings her talents to the intimate stage (78 seats) at CAP21 where she is performing in their benefit series, Concerts for CAP21. As CAP21 approaches their 20th Anniversary, the concert series celebrates all of the accomplishments the organization has had and its goals of the future. Karen Mason: Unfinished Business will be performed through July 19 and certain performances include a reception that is available for ticket buyers. Ticket Prices range from $25-$100. CAP21 is located at 18 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011. Tickets and additional information are available at www.cap21.org or by calling 646.213.5488.

Several Tony Award-winners are teaming up to bring an adaptation of the 1988 musical "Lucky Stiff" to the screen. The show, based on Michael Butterworth's 1965 novel "The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo," was written by Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty and first performed at New York's Playwright's Horizons where it won the Richard Rogers Production Award before going on to London and hundreds of international productions. Ahrens & Flaherty went on to win the Tony for their musical "Ragtime" as well as two Academy Award nominations. Other notable credits include "Once On This Island" and "Seussical." Ahrens has adapted the play for the screen, while Flaherty and Ahrens have written additional songs.

Playwrights Horizons Announces New Additions to Online Auction

The party will include a VIP cocktail reception from 5-6 pm with special guests including Tony© Winners Audra McDonald of Porgy and Bess, and Nikki M. James of Book of Mormon, along with Nick Adams of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Rory O'Malley of Book of Mormon, and Max won Essen of Evita. New York Assembly Member Daniel J. O'Donnell, who helped lead the marriage bill to passage in the Assembly, will also attend.
