Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today that the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Billy Elliot the Musical, featuring music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry, will be presented in San Francisco as part of the 2010-2011 SHN Best of Broadway season.

Billy Elliot on Broadway will play a new performance schedule beginning May 31, 2010: Wednesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, Sunday at 2pm and 7:30pm. Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions will be holding open auditions in Toronto on Saturday, March 13 to find boys ages nine through twelve to play the roles of ‘Billy' and ‘Michael' in the North American companies of Billy Elliot the Musical.
