Rehearsals begin today, Monday, July 28 for the National Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME. The Barrymore Theatre box office opens tomorrow, Wednesday, July 23, for tickets to the National Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, the acclaimed new play by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel, directed by Tony Award-winner Marianne Elliott, which will arrive on Broadway September 10. WAR HORSE Concludes North American Tour this Summer

The North American touring production of WAR HORSE will conclude this summer as the highest grossing and most attended touring non-musical play in US history, recouping its investment in the process. The tour, which opened in June 2012 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, has been seen by over 1.1 million audience members to date and, by its conclusion, will have played 68 engagements and 749 performances. The tour's final stop will be a four-week run at Tokyo's Theatre Orb, marking the play's Asian debut.

According to the BBC, departing Director of the National Theatre Nicholas Hytner just revealed that after he leaves in 2015, he and executive director Nick Starr will create a new theatre company. He told BBC: 'I will make theatre for a new company that will, we hope, find new ways of making commercial theatre. Plans are not finished and set in stone. I'm going to continue working with Nick Starr and we will continue, we hope, to produce theatre in the commercial sector.'
