Joe Blute to Join Tim Realbuto in World Premiere of YES

After an extensive audition process, actor/playwright Tim Realbuto has cast Joe Blute to star alongside him in the premiere of his new play 'Yes', opening June 2nd as part of the Emerging Artists Theatre New Work Series.

Theatre East's THE GRASS HARP Reading Set for Monday, 2/24

Theatre East presents a reading of Truman Capote's THE GRASS HARP as an installment in its NEIGHBORHOOD READING SERIES upstairs at O'Lunney's, 145 West 45th Street (between Broadway & 6th Avenue) on Monday, February 24th at 7pm (Cocktail hour begins at 6pm). Written by Truman Capote and directed by Christa Kimlicko Jones.

Theater East to Present Michael Marc Bouchard's LILIES Reading Tonight

Theatre East presents the last installment in the 2012-2013 season of NEIGHBORHOOD READING SERIES - 'Lilies' by Michael Marc Bouchard, upstairs at O'Lunney's, 145 West 45th Street (bet. Broadway & 6th Ave.), Tonight - Monday, June 24th: 6:00 pm is a Mixer with the reading at 7:00 pm. Featured in the reading are: Todd Eric Hawkins, Neil Arthur James, John Kevin Jones, Judson Jones, James LaRosa, Marc Palmieri, Nick Piacente, Jay Rogers, David Schuller, and Ryan Trout. It is directed by Ian Bjoklund.

Premiere Stages Announces New Dates for Liberty Live

Premiere Stages has announced new dates for the production of Talking to Westfield, part of Liberty Live, a new producing partnership with the Liberty Hall Museum, located on the campus of Kean University. Liberty Live dramatizes and celebrates the history that helped make New Jersey what it is today. Rescheduled performances will now be held December 7th-9th in the Little Theatre, located in the University Center on Kean University's main campus.

Brooks Ashmanskas, Andréa Burns, et al. Set for THE DRAMA DEPARTMENT Reading, 1/30

The Hangar Theatre's Pilot Reading Series in NYC continues into 2012 with a reading of The Drama Department, a new play by James Hindman. The reading is Monday, January 30th at 7.30pm at The Black Box Theatre on Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street (between 9th and 10th Avenue). The reading will be directed by Peter Flynn, the Hangar's Artistic Director.
