Stage Left Theatre has announced added performance for their hit production of Principal Principle by Joe Zarrow, as well as the programming for its 33rd season - Against the Grain. The company will offer three mainstage productions that center on characters who choose to fight against the expectations placed on them by others - for better or for worse.

Direction by Liz Carlson (The Playwrights Realm's Lottie in the Late Afternoon), Matt Dickson (INTAR's The Lowest Form of Writing), John Giampietro (EST's Year of the Rooster), and Jesse Jou (Rising Circle Theater Collectives's Say You Heard My Echo). The plays of the Smackdown are produced by Alyssa Anderson, Ying Le, Greg Nobile, Meghan Pressman, and Lico Whitfield.
Lesser America will present the World Premiere of Lucas Kavner's (Fish Eye with Colt Coeur/HERE Arts Center; Love Money at Ars Nova) Carnival Kids, June 5-28 at TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue). The production will be directed by Stephen Brackett (Buyer and Cellar at Barrow Street) with Assistant Director Drew Foster. The cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.
LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and engaging new audiences, will produce the New York premiere of brownsville song (b-side for tray), a new play by Kimber Lee, this fall. The production, to be directed by Patricia McGregor, will begin performances Saturday, October 4, running for six weeks only through Sunday, November 16 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night is Monday, October 20.
