With the world premiere double-bill of Nick Dear's Hogarth's Progress currently playing at Rose Theatre Kingston as part of its 10th anniversary season, the company today announces its Spring 2019 season. This will be the first season presented in the venue's newly reconfigured auditorium, with developments taking place in January 2019 following a capital fundraising programme.

Ruby Bentall (Jane Hogarth and Nancy/Mrs Ryott), Emma Cunniffe (Louisa and Mrs Colquhoun/Mrs Bascombe), Ben Deery (Frank and Zachariah Blunt), Jack Derges (Henry Fielding and Parson Venables), Ian Hallard (Oliver and Horace Walpole), Susannah Harker (Queen Caroline and Jane Hogarth), Jasmine Jones (Sarah Sprackling and Bridget), Sylvestra Le Touzel (Mrs Needham and Lady Thornhill) and Mark Umbers (Robert Walpole and David Garrick) complete the company.

Hogarth's Progress is a riotous double-bill of comedies by BAFTA Award winner Nick Dear, following one of Britain's most celebrated artists on two monumental pub crawls. The plays explore the extraordinary lives of William and Jane Hogarth at a time when culture escaped from the grasp of the powerful into the hands of the many.

Lookingglass Theatre Company, Court Theatre and Manual Cinema, Lifeline Theatre, and Remy Bumppo Theatre Company announce FRANKENSTEIN: Unearthed, a one-time-only event exploring the four productions of this classic tale coming to Chicago stages during the 2018-2019 season. It's been a busy summer for actor Bryan Dick. As performances finish for one show, rehearsals get underway for another one...or rather two! A double bill for the Rose Theatre Kingston, Hogarth's Progress features The Art of Success and the world premiere of The Taste of the Town. Tickets to individual performances on the University Musical Society's 140th season will go on sale to the public on Monday, August 13, 2018. With appearances by internationally renowned orchestras, chamber musicians, dance groups, jazz and global music artists, and international theater ensembles, the UMS season spans the complete spectrum of the performing arts. Events will take place in Ann Arbor venues, including Hill Auditorium, the Power Center, the Michigan Theater, and Rackham Auditorium. Adelaide Repertory Theatre presents Frankenstein. Based upon the novel by Mary Shelley

2018 marks the 200th Anniversary of Frankenstein's publication. Mary Shelley was just 18 years old when she started writing it, and all of 20 by the time the first edition came out. Never out of print since, this enthralling tale of a mad scientist, who creates a grotesque but intelligent creature from assembled body parts is not only a seminal work of gothic horror, but also one of the earliest examples of science fiction literature. British author, Brian Aldiss (who would later write an unauthorised sequel - Frankenstein Unbound), is one of many literary luminaries to make the case that Shelley's book should be considered the very first science fiction novel, because it 'turns to modern experiments in the laboratory' to inspire and rationalise its fantastic events. Giving rise to countless imitators, Frankenstein has also spawned hundreds of stage and screen adaptations over the years - probably the most well-known being James Whale's haunting 1931 movie version starring Boris Karloff in what would become an iconic interpretation of The Creature, and Kenneth Branagh's flashy 1994 film, which featured a sensitive 'method' interpretation of Frankenstein's tragic creation from Robert De Niro.

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, in its 22nd Season, will present three stories that explore the fears preventing us from reaching out, the infinite mystery of the mind, and the heartbreaking love that spans space and time.

Directed by DTC's Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell, Frankenstein begins on Feb. 2 and runs through March 4. A Pay-What-You-Can performance will be Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m.

Nick Dear's Frankenstein, presented by Dallas Theater Center in association with the Theatre Division of the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University, revisits the classic story with a gritty, humanistic twist. Helmed by director Joel Ferrell, Frankenstein lurks at the Kalita Humphreys Theater with a menacing, if not slightly gapped retelling.

The 102nd Season at Cleveland Play House (CPH) continues with The Invisible Hand by Pulitzer Prize-winning Author Ayad Akhtar. The Invisible Hand tells the story of American investment banker Nick Bright as he risks everything to return to his family. Held hostage in Pakistan by Islamic revolutionaries, his last chance for freedom depends on his ability to play the stock market to benefit his captors. This sharp geo-political thriller from Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar takes us to the treacherous intersection of terrorism and capitalism, where greed and deceit prevail and no one escapes without blood on their hands. Directed by Pirronne Yousefzadeh, The Invisible Hand runs February 17th through March 11, 2018 in the Outcalt Theatre at Playhouse Square.
