As 2016 - inarguably one of the most unforgettable years in recent memory - comes to a close, the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q will ring in the New Year with a one-of-a-kind contest featuring Hillary Clinton and President-elect Donald Trump, whose puppet likenesses joined the company of AVENUE Q to great effect during the recent election season.

The ground-breaking musical hits a new landmark this summer when it celebrates its 13th anniversary on Sunday, July 31, 2013 at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.) in New York City.

AVENUE Q celebrated NYC pride weekend on Sunday when puppet stars Rod and Lucy took to the streets of New York City on board the Impulse Group NYC Pride Parade Float. Just 3 days after he renewed his vows with Ricky, Rod took Lucy to enjoy a fun filled day away from the New World Stages, where Avenue Q performs 8 times a week. Check out photos below!

Included in the bunch were two Donald Trumps who faced off against a Bernie Sanders puppet - check out photos below!

It has been announced that the Donald Trump puppet will leave the campaign trail for the day to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event. (And it's been rumored that the mysterious second DONALD TRUMP PUPPET will attend, as well.)

The Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q, currently playing off-Broadway at New World Stages, celebrated its 10th anniversary yesterday, July 31. Prior to curtain, Media and Entertainment Commissioner Katherine Oliver presented a proclamation from the City of New York to the musical's cast, creators and producers declaring July 31 as AVENUE Q DAY.
