OLIVIERS 2012: Full List Of Nominations! MATILDA Leads with 10!

Matilda the Musical, produced by the RSC and running at the Cambridge Theatre, leads the way with ten nominations - the maximum number of eligible awards for a musical this year. These notably include a collective nomination for Best Actress for all four young actresses who play the title role. Amongst other musical theatre productions Ghost The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre and the National Theatre's London Road have five and four nominations respectively.

TV Sneak Peek- ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS!

The National Theatre of Great Britain's acclaimed production of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS begins previews on April 6 and the official opening is April 18, 2012 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street) on Broadway. ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS is a comedy by Richard Bean, based on Carlo Goldoni's The Servant of Two Masters, with songs by Grant Olding, directed by Nicholas Hytner.

Nicholas Hytner's five star award-winning production of One Man, Two Guvnors is currently playing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket after two sell-out record-breaking runs at the National and Adelphi Theatres. Joining Owain Arthur as lovable chancer Francis Henshall are Jodie Prenger and Hannah Spearritt who play Dolly and Pauline respectively. Martin Barrass joins the cast to play Alfie with David Benson as Gareth, Nigel Betts as Harry, Derek Elroy as Lloyd, Gerard Horan as Charlie, Daniel Ings as Alan, Ben Mansfield as Stanley and Gemma Whelan as Rachel.

Sir Jonathan Miller to Direct RUTHERFORD & SON for Northern Broadsides

Opera and Theatre director Sir Jonathan Miller will return to the British theatre stage next year for the first time in five years to helm the Northern Broadsides production of Githa Sowerby's Rutherford & Son. The production will open at the Viaduct Theatre, Halifax from Friday 8th February 2013 and then tour the UK.

National Theatre Live Announces Screenings for TRAVELLING LIGHT

National Theatre Live continues its third season with Nicholas Wright's new play TRAVELLING LIGHT, directed by Nicholas Hytner. Following Vincent in Brixton and The Reporter, Wright's new play is a funny and fascinating tribute to the Eastern European immigrants who became major players in Hollywood's golden age. The award-winning Antony Sher returns to the National to play "Jacob". National Theatre Live is an initiative by the UK's National Theatre to broadcast live performances onto cinema screens around the world.

ALICE BY HEART, DETROIT, et al. Included in National Theatre's 2012 Plans

Highlights of the forthcoming productions at the National Theatre, announced today by Nicholas Hytner, include new plays by Alan Bennett, Stephen Beresford, Lisa D'Amour, James Graham and Lucy Prebble. There will be adaptations of Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Simon Stephens, and of The Count of Monte Cristo by Richard Bean. Enda Walsh's Misterman receives its London premiere; classic revivals include Polly Findlay's production of Sophocles' Antigone, Shakespeare's Timon of Athens directed by Nicholas Hytner, Bijan Sheibani's staging of Damned for Despair by Tirso de Molina, and Nadia Fall's production of Bernard Shaw's The Doctor's Dilemma.

The National Theatre presents the third season of National Theatre Live (NT Live), a successful initiative to broadcast live performances from the National's stages to cinemas worldwide. In addition to the previously scheduled broadcasts of The Comedy of Errors (March 1), the season will include Travelling Light (February 9) and She Stoops to Conquer (March 29). Since its first season, which began in June 2009 with the acclaimed production of Phédre starring Helen Mirren, over half a million people have now experienced the National's acclaimed work on movie screens around the world.
