The 60th season Wexford Festival Opera 2011 will kick off with La Cour de Célimène by Ambroise Thomas, a show that has not been seen since 1855

The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, established in 1955, are presented annually for outstanding achievements in London Theatre. Sponsored by the Evening Standard newspaper, this year's awards will be announced on November 20.

National Theatre Live continues its third season with Nicholas Hytner's production of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, by Richard Bean based on The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni, with songs by Grant Olding.

The Englert Theatre presents high definition re-broadcasts of performances from the National Theatre in London. The Englert will broadcast every performance from the 2011-2012 season, starting with One Man, Two Guvnors tonight at 7pm.

According to Variety, The Madness of George III, which is touring the UK will make a West End transfer n the near future. The production, which is directed was Christopher Luscombe, will play the Apollo Theater, January 18 - March 31.

Bringing the best of British theatre to cinemas across the U.S. this fall, NCM Fathom will present a series of four events from the stage of the National Theatre of Great Britain. National Theatre Live (NT Live) will launch its third season on NCM network screens with One Man, Two Guvnors on Thursday, October 20, followed by The Kitchen on Thursday, November 3; Collaborators on Thursday, December 1; and The Comedy of Errors on Thursday, March 1, with additional titles in 2012 to be announced soon. All events will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time. Presented by NT Live, BY Experience and Fathom, the four-part in-theater series will be broadcast to more than 130 additional U.S. movie theaters nationwide through NCM's exclusive Digital Broadcast Network.

J M Synge's comic masterpiece and one of Ireland's greatest plays, The Playboy of t he West ern World will preview at The Old Vic from 17 September 2011 with a press night on 27 September.

Bailiwick Chicago's upcoming production of the award-winning off-Broadway hit 'Violet,' a powerful and heartwarming story of a vulnerable young woman's challenges, loves and emotional journey, will now be staged September 16 - October 16 at the Mercury Theater, 3745 North Southport Avenue. With a score by Jeanine Tesori ('Caroline or Change' 'Thoroughly Modern Millie') and book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, 'Violet' is directed by Bailiwick Artistic Advisor Elizabeth Margolius. The press night is Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Nicholas Hytner's five star production of One Man, Two Guvnors will transfer to the West End for a 16 week run following its sell-out run at the National Theatre, subsequent UK tour and National Theatre Live cinema broadcast. Nearly 200,000 tickets go on sale on Thursday 14 July for performances at the Adelphi Theatre from 8 November 2011 - 25 February 2012. Press night will be on 21 November at 7pm.
