As reported yesterday, Harvard University's American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) , under the artistic direction of Tony-winner Diane Paulus, will soon stage NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, based upon Leo Tolstoy's WAR AND PEACE. The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, will present stage Malloy's musical adaptation of an excerpt from Leo Tolstoy's monumental novel War and Peace, directed by Rachel Chavkin, with choreography by Sam Pinkleton.

The Kennedy Center today announced casting for the Washington, D.C. engagement of Evita which runs in the Kennedy Center Opera House from September 30 to October 19, 2014. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, this is the first new Broadway production of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical since it debuted on Broadway more than 30 years ago. The press opening night is Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

The stunning new production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita will make its Twin Cities premiere January 28-February 2, 2014 at the Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave.) in Minneapolis. This version features updated orchestrations, choreography and scenic design offering a more authentic portrait of Argentinean culture and Eva's rise to and fall from power. Hernandez were on hand to not only talk to tour stars Caroline Bowman (Eva Peron), Josh Young (Che) and Sean MacLaughlin (Juan Peron) and Evita Producer Hal Luftig, but such Hollywood celebrities as Shirley Jones, Marty Ingels, Patrick Cassidy, Sam Harris, Greg Louganis and partner Johnny Chaillot, Disney's G. Hannelius (Dog with a Blog), Hal Sparks (Disney XD's Lab Rats) among others. In addition to Hal Luftig, Evita Producers include Scott Sanders, Troika Entertainment & The Nederlander Organization. Producers Hal Luftig, Scott Sanders, Troika Entertainment & The Nederlander Organization have announced that EVITA will return to L.A. by way of Hollywood Pantages for a limited three week engagement; October 23 - November 10, 2013.

Performances of EVITA at the Fabulous Fox Theatre run tonight, October 8 -20. Show times are Today through Saturday evenings at 8pm, Saturday afternoons at 2pm and Sunday afternoons at 1pm. There will be an evening performance on Sunday, October 13 at 6pm and a matinee on Thursday, October 17 at 1pm.

Beginning this week, there will be $49 tickets available for Wednesday matinees, Saturday early evening performances, and Sunday matinees. Rush tickets can be purchased at the box office of Kazino (West 13th Street and Washington Street) beginning 2 hours prior to the posted curtain time, as well as online at www.thegreatcometof1812.com beginning the day of the performance at 10am by using the code RUSH at check-out. Food and drink is not included with the purchase of a rush ticket.
