Joe's Pub at The Public is thrilled to announce a new showcase presented in association with Showtime Networks, called The SHOWTIME Salon Series, launching in May 2018. For nearly two decades, SHOWTIME and Joe's Pub have shared something significant: a commitment to producing and presenting groundbreaking programming that showcases and celebrates LGBTQ+ communities. SHOWTIME and Joe's Pub will present this yearlong initiative with monthly live shows that will feature artists ranging from Alan Cumming to Mx Justin Vivian Bond to Murray Hill to Ryan Raftery.

Tori Scott returns to Joe's Pub at the Public Theater to let everyone know she still hasn't learned from her mistakes with her new show, Tori Scott Shame Spirals. This Garland for the Grindr era is 'a force to be reckoned with' (Broadway World) and desperate to run away from her problems while celebrating her unconditional love of vodka. Direct from sold out performances in London and aboard the gay cruises of the Caribbean, Tori and her three-piece band will take you on an audacious musical journey of slurred autobiographical stories and songs she stole from other people. Daniel Alexander Jones makes his debut in The Public Theater's mainstage season with his new show Black Light, starring Jones's alter ego, legendary singer Jomama Jones. Originally commissioned as part of the Joe's Pub New York Voices series, Black Light is a moving, music-laden work - a revival of sorts - for turbulent times. Created by Jones, the show features all original music by Jomama, Laura Jean Anderson, Bobby Halvorson, Dylan Meek and Josh Quat. The show's music direction is by Samora Abayomi Pinderhughes.

Joe's Pub at The Public invites a slate of world-class artists to take residence on its venerable stage. Acclaimed actor and singer Alan Cumming will descend with a two-week midnight run of his brand new show Legal Immigrant, from June 19-30. Fellow Joe's Pub favorites like Penny Arcade, Bridget Everett, Samora Abayomi Pinderhughes and Shaina Taub line the calendar with monthly performances. Plus, due to popular demand, Rob Paulsen and Randy Rogel return with an extended run of their show Animaniacs Live!, a musical revue, May 24-27.

Grammy-nominated funk rock pioneer Nona Hendryx continues her year at Joe's Pub at The Public as the inaugural recipient of The Vanguard Residency and Award. On March 19, Hendryx invites Liza Jessie Peterson to debut Down the Rabbit Hole: A Peculiar Patriot All Day Mashup of stories from behind the wall, a mix of Peterson's acclaimed one-woman show The Peculiar Patriot and her book All Day. Over March 29-31, Hendryx convenes the first-ever Rock Solid Women's Festival: Celebrating Women in Art & Music, presenting a radically inclusive lineup of poets, singers, songwriters and literary writers.

The Skivvies are back at Joe's Pub for an exciting line up on March 5 at 9:30. Joining them are some of Broadway's biggest stars. Guests include: Laura Benanti, Andrew Keenan Bolger, Nick Adams, Paige Davis, Mike Viruet, Emma Hunton, Kissy Simmons, and Ray Lee.

Joe's Pub at The Public announces the new class of Joe's Pub Working Group (JPWG), the venue's artist development program dedicated to enhancing the career sustainability and growth of performing artists. Entering its fourth year, JPWG welcomes five artists - playwright and songwriter Dan Fishback, classically trained bandleader Juliette Jones, violinist and composer Dana Lyn, jazz composer and pianist Samora Abayomi Pinderhughes and cabaret darling Tori Scott - as the core group that represents the diversity and scope of the nightly programming at Joe's Pub.
