Film Society of Lincoln Center to Celebrate AMC's BREAKING BAD

The Film Society of Lincoln Center (FSLC) and AMC announced today a first-of-its-kind collaboration to celebrate AMC's heralded and Emmy Award-winning show BREAKING BAD, whose final episodes begin on August 11 at 9pm.

THE WRESTLERS to Kick Off RLTP's 2013 Emanuel Fried New Play Workshop, 7/8

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) has announced a new host venue for its summer schedule of public development readings of plays from the 2013 Emanuel Fried New Play Workshop (NPW). Beginning Monday, July 8th, the NPW will present five plays readings at PAUSA Art House, the recently opened cafe and performance venue located at 19 Wadsworth Street (at Allen). Readings will continue through Monday, August 19th; there will be no NPW readings on Monday, July 22nd and Monday, July 27th.

PUPPETS TAKE LONG ISLAND Festival to Open 7/8 at Children's Museum, Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre

Look up, look down, look all around, and you'll find puppets in Long Island neighborhoods this summer! Audiences across Long Island will see innovative and exciting performances celebrating all puppetry genres as the 'Puppets Take Long Island' Festival launches at the Garden City-based Long Island Children's Museum and Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre in Sag Harbor. The Festival offers a variety of performances, events, exhibitions and workshops from July 8-August 31.

Road Less Traveled Productions Hosts RIVER ROCKS Benefit Tonight

Buffalo theatre company Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) previously announced the first annual River Rocks: A Clambake & Party to Benefit Road Less Traveled. This new summer event will be held tonight, June 29th, 2013, beginning at 5:00 PM and continuing through 10:30 PM, at the West Side Rowing Club in Buffalo, NY. Dinner & clams will be served from 5:30pm - 8:00pm.

Theater Resources Unlimited to Host PRODUCER BOOTCAMP, 7/13-14

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces the 2013 TRU Producer Bootcamp: Weekend Intensive for Showcase Producing on Saturday and Sunday, July 13-14, 2013 from 10am-6pmat The Players Theatre's Steve & Marie Sgouros Theatre, 3rd floor, 115 MacDougal Street, NYC. Details and application can be found at http://www.truonline.org/BootCampWeekend13.htm. Early bird registration ends July 3rd and is $210 ($175 for TRU members). After July 1st, registration is $260 ($225 for TRU members).

BRIDGING THE GAP Exhibition Opens at Flushing Town Hall Today

BRIDGING THE GAP: A traveling group exhibition featuring 50 artworks representing 40 artists from Queens, New York. This multi-venue show, curated by LIC Artists, Inc (Long Island City Artists) and Amy Winter, Director Godwin-Ternbach Museum, in collaboration with Flushing Town Hall, reaches out to the varied communities near LaGuardia Community College, Flushing Town Hall, and Queensborough Community College, to highlight and showcase the broad diversity and creativity of Queens' artists.

Howard Fishman Set for Jewish Museum's SummerNights Concert Series, 7/11

Howard Fishman and his Band will perform on Thursday, July 11 as part of The Jewish Museum's popular SummerNights concert series. According to The New York Times, Howard Fishman 'transcends time and idiom' performing his particular blend of jazz, pop, blues and experimental music. This event also includes an open bar with wine and light refreshments. Doors open at 7pm, and the concert begins at 7:30pm. The Jewish Museum is located at Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street, Manhattan.

Natalie Merchant Set for Picnic with the Pops in Columbus, 7/13

Over her 30-year career, Natalie Merchant has earned a distinguished place among America's most respected recording artists. As lead vocalist and lyricist of pop music band 10,000 Maniacs, she released two platinum and four gold records. With her latest and highly acclaimed solo recording entitled, Leave Your Sleep, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at No. 17, she embarks on a new artistic path, creating songs from literary inspiration which are composed for expanded musical ensembles and orchestra.

Classical Theatre of Harlem to Present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at Richard Rodgers Amphitheater, 7/13-30

The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) (Producing Artistic Director, Ty Jones), presents the Shakespeare classic A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Artistic Associate Justin Emeka this summer in Harlem's Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park. Performances of the free play, which runs July 13-30 (on Tuesdays through Sunday) at 7:30 pm, are made possible by the Ford Foundation.

Sarah Joy Miller & More Set for New York City Opera's 2013-14 Season

New York City Opera is pleased to announce casting for numerous roles in its 2013-14 productions: Anna Nicole, a co-production with BAM that kicks off the 2013 Next Wave Festival, September 17 - 28 at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House; Johann Christian Bach's Endimione, February 8 - 16, 2014 at El Museo del Barrio; Bluebeard's Castle, a co-production with St. Ann's Warehouse, February 28 - March 15, 2014; and The Marriage of Figaro, April 19 - April 26, 2014 at New York City Center. The Company will announce additional casting soon.
