Darren Lee Cole, producing director of the not-for-profit, SoHo Playhouse, will continue its tradition of bringing the 'Best of the Fests' for extended runs at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC) with its celebrated Fringe Encore Series, taking place from September 5 - October 22, 2017.

British-Nigerian, former U.S. model Phina Oruche is bringing her highly acclaimed one-woman show IDENTITY CRISIS to New York City's historic SoHo Playhouse as a part of the 12th Annual Fringe Encore Series.  Identity Crisis is a comic tale that examines Oruche's own observations on what others have made of her black identity as she worked her way through being a fashion model, actress, radio presenter and writer in a world of fickle media.  On a moonless night, the residents of a remote, mythical town find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways in the charming, offbeat comedy "Almost, Maine" by John Cariani.  "Almost, Maine" is the final play of the 2017 season at Peninsula Players and launches the theater into its fall season September 6 through October 15.  While the northern lights dance overhead, the not-so-tough women and men crack some beer and try to make sense of love. 

Dancer/choreographer Yin Yue presents her YY Dance Company in a program of her explosive works, including the world premiere of Vanishing Point, for an ensemble of five; a solo for Yin drawn from her Within Reach, and the dynamic Through the Fracture of Light, two weekends, September 16 & 17, and 23 & 24 at the Peridance Salvatore Capezio Theater, 126 East 13th Street.

Ricochet Collective will present the World Premiere of Harrison David Rivers' ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT WILDFIRES, co-conceived and directed by Sherri Eden Barber, at Teatro Circulo (64 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery), October 7-28.

Building on the critical success of his 2011 production of Harold Pinter's Old Times, STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn will return to the British playwright's gripping realm of doubt and disquiet to direct a double bill of short plays. The Lover and The Collection will run from September 26-October 29 at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW).
