Amphibian Stage Productions to Open THE BIBLE: THE COMPLETE WORD OF GOD (ABRIDGED), 7/11

Amphibian Stage Productions opens its third main stage production of the 2013 season, The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged) by Adam Long, Reed Martin, and Austin Tichenor, next week at the company's home on South Main Street. Luke Longacre, Brandon J. Murphy, and Scott Zenreich star in this irreverent comedy, running Thursday, July 11 through Sunday, August 11. Jay Duffer directs the production.

John Doble's REUNION RUN Set for New York International Fringe Fest, Begin. 8/9

REUNION RUN will play five performances (over a 3-week period) at Teatro SEA (107 Suffolk Street, between Delancy and Rivington): Friday 8/9 at 9:45 pm; Friday 8/16 at 7:00 pm; Wednesday 8/21 at 4:30 pm; Friday 8/23 at 8:00 pm; and Saturday 8/24 at 4:30 pm. Kelly Kinsella's WHEN THOUGHTS ATTACK Set for the cell, 7/14-9/1

the cell: A Twenty First Century Salon, Founding Artistic Director Nancy Manocherian, and Artistic Director Kira Simring, have announced the 'terrific and zany' (NYT) Kelly Kinsella's WHEN THOUGHTS ATTACK, directed by Padraic Lillis. WHEN THOUGHTS ATTACK will play a limited engagement at the cell (338 W. 23rd St NYC). Performances begin Sunday, July 14 and continue through Sunday, September 1. Opening Night is Sunday, July 28 (7 p.m.).

New Musical GOD'S COUNTRY to Open 7/18 at NYMF

God's Country, an original musical by Erik Johnke (Book and Lyrics) and Elaine Chelton (Music) set in 19th Century New York City, will be presented at the 10th Annual New York Music Theatre Festival (NYMF) for five performances starting on Thursday, July 18, at 9:00 PM, at The Pershing Square Signature Center Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street. The musical is directed by Craig J. George and choreographed by Thomas-Sabella Mills. The Music Director is Bryan L. Wade.

Tom Aulino & David Greenspan Lead Bay Street Theatre's THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP, Now thru 7/28

Bay Street Theatre presents THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP, written by Charles Ludlam and directed by Kenneth Elliott, as the second production in its 2013 summer Mainstage season following the hysterical comedy, LEND ME A TENOR playing through June 23. THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP runs today, July 2 - 28 and stars Tom Aulino and 5 time Obie Award winning actor David Greenspan.

Matthew Trumbull's THE ZEBRA SHIRT OF LONELY CHILDREN to Make Midwest Debut at Minnesota Fringe, 8/1

Theater Accident, in association with Blue Coyote Theater Group, announces that THE ZEBRA SHIRT OF LONELY CHILDREN, written and performed by Minnesota native Matthew Trumbull and directed by Matthew Freeman, will make its Midwest premiere at the 2013 Minnesota Fringe Festival. Both a 'Critic's Pick' and part of Fringe NYC's Encore Series, Zebra Shirt won the Overall Excellence-Solo Performance Award at the 2012 Festival.

San Diego REPertory Theatre (San Diego REP) in partnership with the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) will present "In the Heights" by Quiara Alegria Hudes as the first production of the company's 38th season. The Tony and Grammy Award-winning production was conceived by and with music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, and the San Diego REP production is directed by Sam Woodhouse and starring Jai Rodriguez.

5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE Returns for Gay Pride Tonight

Returning after extended runs at the New York International Fringe Festival Encore Series and Off Broadway's SoHo Playhouse, The New Colony's award-winning 5 LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE will play the Snapple Theater Center's Anne L. Bernstein Theater (210 West 50th Street at the corner of Broadway, New York City). The play returns for a special three performance Pride Weekend engagement tonight, June 27 to June 29, 2013.

The Circuit Theatre's THE AMISH PROJECT Begins Tonight

The Circuit Theatre Company, a local, IRNE-nominated company run and operated by theatre artists ages 18-25 from across the country will kick off its 2013 summer season with the Boston premiere of The Amish Project by Jessica Dickey. 'The Amish Project' will be entirely produced, directed, designed, and acted by young theatre professionals.

The Fun Company Presents THE YOUNG OLYMPIANS AND THE MOST AMAZINGLY AWESOME ADVENTURE EVER, Now thru 6/30

It's time to be brave...again. The Fun Company's hit family show The Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever is back by popular demand. In April of 2012 the show by playwright Sarah Shulman made its World Premiere on Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) stage to packed houses and rave reviews. 'The Young Olympians was a serendipitous triumph of words music and performance...take everyone from toddler to grandparent, aunts and uncles, teens and random folk you meet on the street. Squeaky Bicycle's ALLIGATOR SUMMER Plays Abingdon, Now thru 7/7

'Alligator Summer' by Dylan Lamb is an audacious farce in which two southern families have taken refuge in an attic, Anne Frank style, after an endless army of alligators have overrun their town. Subtitled 'A Southern Gothic Atrocity in Three Acts,' it is an absurd play that seriously confronts how we face our primal fears, address reality and communicate truthfully. Squeaky Bicycle Productions (www.squeakybicyleproductions.com), a young and hungry company dedicated to new works, will present the play tonight, June 20 to July 7 in the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre of Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, 312 West 36th Street.
