NOT ANOTHER TEEN SOLO SHOW Now Playing Through 6/29 at Hollywood Fringe Fest

By:

After a less than ideal youth-hood, a spunky Indian girl in Indiana turns to the popular teen movies of the time for guidance on how to master high school. Because real life is totally just like the movies... right?!

From cheerleading stunts and IM conversations to bad boy crushes and girl posses, NOT ANOTHER TEEN SOLO SHOW brings to life Rati's diehard mission to have the perfect high school experience. Which in her mind meant an Andrew Keegan type boyfriend, a Sarah Michelle Gellar 'esque power, and of course... a She's All That prom miracle.

Whether you hated high school or peaked in high school, Rati's true comical tales of teen angst and torture will make you feel a little smarter and a whole lot cooler.

RATI GUPTA (Writer/Performer) is a rare breed of professional hip hop dancer turned comedy actor and writer. She trained with some of Chicago's most renowned choreographers while studying at Northwestern University, and worked alongside musical artists Lupe Fiasco and Flo Rida. As an actor, she has worked on various indie films, lent her voice to Sasha of The Bratz, and co-starred in the MTV movie "Worst.Prom.Ever.," directed and produced by the internet comedy conglomerate Derrick Comedy. Rati is a Moth StorySLAM champion, graduate of the Upright Citizen's Brigade improv program, and has performed at comedy venues all over Los Angeles, including the Hollywood Improv and the World Famous Comedy Store. After a bold debut in the summer of 2012, her one chick show, NOT ANOTHER TEEN SOLO SHOW, was selected as part of the LA Comedy Festival and the New York International Fringe Festival.

NADIA VAZQUEZ (Director) is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and can be seen headlining at Second City Hollywood with her musical improv team Hug Bear. Her theatre credits include the Pasadena Playhouse's sold out run of "Tales of a Fourth Grade Lesbo" and "Lip Service: Queering The Musical Theater Canon." Her directorial credits include "The Hardy Boys and the Mystery of Where Babies Come From" by Christopher Durang (USFCollege Players) and Eve Ensler's "Vagina Monologues" (Stella Adler New York).
