Columbus Children's Theatre presents Hairspray, July 5th-July 20th at the Columbus Children's Theatre located at 512 Park Street, Columbus, OH. Performing Arts Fort Worth proudly announces its 2014-2015 Broadway at the Bass Season at Bass Performance Hall, featuring award-winning shows direct from Broadway.

A cast of young student actors will perform the Tony Award-winning musical 'Hairspray' July 16-20 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. High school actors and technicians will begin work on the production June 16. Golden Leaf Pictures and Guangdong Hua Zhi Jie Media announced the signing of a co-production for a feature film to be shot entirely in China. Shanghai Rifles will be produced by Golden Leaf Pictures' President Gerald Olson who stated: 'We are excited to work with Xin Xin Fang and her team to create an adventure based in the historic context of China during the 1870s. HZJ Films has broken new ground by partnering with Golden Leaf Pictures to make American style films that will appeal not only to audiences in China, but also to film lovers throughout the world.' Olson has numerous feature film and television credits as a producer, and has served as an executive at New Line Cinema and HBO.

Principal photography begins Tuesday, April 22, on location in Australia for “San Andreas,” starring Dwayne Johnson.

Initial casting for Arthur Miller's The Crucible is announced. Richard Armitage, Anna Madeley and Samantha Colley are to play John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor and Abigail Williams in Ya?l Farber's new production at The Old Vic, with previews from Tuesday 24 June. The cast also includes Sarah Niles, Rebecca Saire and Zara White, with further cast to be announced.
