Saxophonist Charles Neville, bassist George Kaye, and singer Moonlight Davis will join artist faculty Dianne Walker, Harold Kromer, and music director Paul Arslanian for The School at Jacob's Pillow's first ever Tap Program. In addition to rigorous movement training, the dancers of the professional advancement Tap Program will also work with these acclaimed musicians and will offer two free public showings during their time at The School at Jacob's Pillow. Both free public showings on July 3 and 10 will feature live music.

This month, the Amas Six O'Clock Musical Theatre Lab will present SAVING THE MuSE (based on GALLERY), music and lyrics by the late Edward Kleban (Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner for lyrics for A CHORUS LINE) and book by Linda Kline (Tony-nominated co-bookwriter of A CLASS ACT), developed and directed by Michael Bush. The Producing Artistic Director is Donna Trinkoff and the Music Director is Paul Wolfson.

The New York Philharmonic will present its seventh season of Summertime Classics, with nine themed concerts, conducted and hosted by Bramwell Tovey, June 29-July 10, 2009. The first program (June 29-30), entitled 'From Russia with Love,' will offer music by great Russian composers such as Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, and Glazunov, with the Philharmonic debut of violinist Mikhail Simonyan performing Tchiakovsky's Violin Concerto.
