The recording artist/composer/free spirit known as Nellie McKay is not your typical performer to be sure. It's actually hard to even associate her with a particular musical genre because she performed a little bit of everything in her concert at Kennedy Center as part of the Renée Fleming VOICES series.

The 2018-2019 Renee Fleming VOICES series continues with singer-songwriter Nellie McKay today, February 8, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. in the Terrace Theater. McKay's one-night-only solo set will include songs from her recent Sister Orchid, as well as others in her catalog. Tickets for this performance are $25-$35.

Following a sold-out engagement in 2018, award-winning singer/songwriter Nellie McKay returns to Feinstein's at the Nikkoon Sunday, February 24 at 7 p.m. for an evening of songs and stories, including tracks from her seventh album, "Sister Orchid."

"Come Together" combines Fleisher's signature, barn-burning covers of contemporary classics, with original tunes meant to illuminate the spaces where change, love, loss and humor overlap with his evangelical belief that the room that sings together, clings together.
