In June, 2011, The Ivoryton Playhouse reaches its 100th birthday. 100 years of hosting dances and town meetings, producing great theatre, discovering movie stars and great directors and perhaps even the stars of tomorrow. The 2011 season - the Centennial Celebration - will build on this success and provide audiences with musicals and plays that reflect the unique history.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, American Stage Theatre Company will be producing Neal Simon's classic comedy, BAREFOOT IN THE PARK to end the theatre's 2010-11 Mainstage season, rather than the previously announced A STEADY RAIN by Keith Huff.

According to the NY Times, Amy Ryan is set to will perform a song entitled, 'All I Ever Wanted' at a Todd Almond concert on February 16. The performance will be held at St. Mark's Church in New York City at 8:30PM.

Rita McKenzie, one of Broadway, Hollywood and television's most versatile actresses, returns to Southern California in her internationally acclaimed tour de force show, ETHEL MERMAN'S BROADWAY, which re-creates the life and times of Ethel Merman, the Queen of Broadway's Golden Age.

From February 15 to March 13, we shuffle off to 1950's Buffalo with Over the Tavern, Tom Dudzick's autobiographical play about his childhood and growing up in his family's small apartment over his father's bar and grill.

For Valentine's Day, Westport Country Playhouse will present a reading of Neil Simon's whimsical and touching romantic comedy, "Chapter Two," part of Westport Country Playhouse's popular Script in Hand Series, on Monday, February 14, 7 p.m.

One of the most famous stage comedies in American history, Neil Simon's 'The Odd Couple,' closes at the Norris Center for the Performing Arts February 13. The hit comedy about mismatched roommates premiered on Broadway over 40 years ago, became an instant success, and won the 1965 Tony Award for Best Play.

McCarter Theatre (Emily Mann, Artistic Director; Timothy J. Shields, Managing Director) is pleased to announce that Academy Award, Tony and Obie Award winner Mercedes Ruehl will star in the two-character world premiere of Sarah Treem's The How and The Why. Directed by Emily Mann, the cast will also feature New Jersey native Bess Rous. The production runs through February 13.

The Norris Center for the Performing Arts Artistic Director James W. Gruessing Jr. has announced the 20010-2011 season, which boasts a full schedule of 23 productions. Titled 'Something to Sing About,' the new season lineup includes musicals, comedies, plays, magic, and music ranging from jazz, and rock to classical.

According to TVLine.com, Broadway veteran Amanda Peet is set to join NBC's The Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip star has scored the lead in Bent, a romantic comedy produced by Tad Quill. Peet will star as a divorcee and mom who begins a romantic relationship with her contractor.

First, on February 11 and 12 (Friday and Saturday) at 8:00 pm is a Special Event, Love Letters, by A.R. Gurney, directed by John Lineberger. Love Letters is the story of a deep and abiding friendship and romance between two people that spans 50 years. Next, from February 18 through March 6 (three weekends), Fridays and Saturdays 8:00 pm and Sundays 2:00 pm, is our Main Stage production of Neil Simon's Chapter Two

Fall in love again with Shakespeare's timeless story of young passions and feuding families as the star-crossed lovers of Romeo and Juliet are brought to the Whole Backstage in a magnificent, traditional setting.
