Profiles Theatre opens its 27th Season with the Midwest premiere of the acclaimed new play The Jacksonian by Beth Henley, directed by Artistic Director Joe Jahraus. The production runs tonight, August 21 - October 11, 2015 at Profiles Theatre's The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway. The press opening is Thursday, August 27 at 8pm.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present The Shape of Things, a play by critically acclaimed playwright Neil Labute that questions love, happiness, and relationship roles. The Shape of Things is a bitterly funny, controversial restatement of the biblical story of Adam and Eve, exploring morality and gender roles in '90s America. The play is both compelling and cautionary in its approach, and provides a satisfying twist that will have audiences discussing the plot long after leaving the theatre.

Neil Labute & More Added to MCC Theater's Playlabs Reading Series

MCC THEATER has announced the 2015 PlayLabs reading series, which will feature new works in development by playwrights MCC Playwright in Residence Neil LaBute, MCC Theater Youth Company alum Ren Dara Santiago, and rising playwright Stephen Brown.  Readings will be held on September 21st, September 28th, and October 5th, as shown below, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street).  All readings are at 7pm.  Full casting will be announced at a later date.  Tickets on-sale now are $15, which include the post-reading reception.  For tickets and more info, please visit www.mcctheater.org.

Matthew Broderick & Sarah Jessica Parker to Perform Together in Provincetown

Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of The Art House in Provincetown, MA recently announced that Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker will join his inaugural Broadway @ Town Hall series featuring SiriusXM radio's Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host for one night only on August 17th. Broderick and Parker will both sing and be part of an unforgettable evening that includes hilarious conversation and great songs. They have not appeared together on stage for nearly two decades since the Broadway revival of 'How To Succeed...' Parker actually began her career on Broadway in the title role of Annie and also starred in the Broadway musical 'Once Upon A Mattress.' Matthew Broderick is a two-time Tony Award winner for Neil Simon's 'Brighton Beach Memoirs' and for 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.' Sarah Jessica Parker won four Golden Globe Awards, three SAG Awards and two Emmy Awards as Carrie Bradshaw on the long-running HBO series 'Sex and the City'. The couple will be appearing for one night only in Provincetown on August 17th at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. The Broadway @ Town Hall concert series will benefit the Tyler Clementi Foundation.
