Silver Spring Stage presents Neil LaBute's searing satire on love and beauty Fat Pig, directed by Seth Ghitelman and produced by Brenda Ryan-Ghitelman, when a young man falls for a heavy woman and weighs the opinions of people around him with his own feelings. Fat Pig will perform weekends July 16 to August 8.

The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center offers three summer programs for aspiring theatre arts students. ThroughLine Artists with J.J. Kandel and John McCormack will present SUMMER SHORTS 4, their fourth annual festival of new American short plays, at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street). Performances begin Friday July 30th, and continue through Thursday September 2nd.

The Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the Midwest Premiere of Neil LaBute's bristling comedy Reasons to be Pretty. The play starts Thursday, July 8 and runs through August 1, 2010 on the Mainstage at the Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis. The production is sponsored by Indianapolis Power & Light Company.

The Cape Cod Theatre project has announced participating directors for their summer season running July 8-31. Joining the CCTP will be Mark Brokaw and Cary Perloff for their productions of Guidance and The Color of Desire.

Silver Spring Stage presents George Bernard Shaw's classic comedy PYGMALION, directed by Pauline Griller-Mtichell and produced by Richard Ley, when fussy English professor Henry Higgins wagers that he can transform a guttersnipe cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady of breeding, voice, and manners. Pygmalion will perform weekends June 4 to June 27.
