Composer-Lyricist-Bookwriter Mary Liz McNamara is currently working on Body and Soul based on the 2009 documentary by filmmaker Alice Elliott. Excerpts from Body and Soul were seen at New York Theater Barn in October 2014. Awards: 2013 Bistro Award for Songwriting, 2011 BMI Foundation Harrington Award for creative achievement in musical theater, two MAC awards and six ASCAP PLUS awards. Mary Liz is a frequent NYC performer, and her songs are performed by cabaret and musical theater artists across the country. She is a member of the BMI Musical Theater Workshop (as a composer/lyricist and a librettist), and about a million other performing arts unions and organizations. Her song 'Bacon' was used in an episode of 'So You Think You Can Dance.'
Ben Rosenfield & Sophia Anne Caruso Join Cast of MCC Theater's THE NETHER

MCC THEATER has announced complete casting for the New York premiere of Jennifer Haley's The Nether directed by Anne Kaufman. Ben Rosenfield, memorably of the final two seasons of "Boardwalk Empire," and rising talent Sophia Anne Caruso will take on the roles of Woodnut and Iris, respectively. As previously announced, The Nether will also star "Nurse Jackie" Emmy Award winner Merritt Wever, New York theater veteran Peter Friedman and Tony Award winner Frank Wood.

McGowen has seen a number of Atlanta venues including the Hertz Stage, 14th Street Playhouse, 7Stages, and most recently a Church basement in the Virginia Highlands.

The BLUEBARN Theatre will present the regional premiere of Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays written by an A-list lineup of writers including Mo Gaffney, Jordan Harrison, Moise?s Kaufman, Neil LaBute, Wendy MacLeod, Jose? Rivera, Paul Rudnick, and Doug Wright; Conceived by Brian Shnipper. The play runs January 8-17, 2015.

The new independent film TAKE CARE stars Leslie Bibb and Thomas Sadoski. Since 1998, Sadoski has been one of the most reliable performers in the New York theatre community, being seen in world premieres by Lucy Thurber, Rajiv Joseph, Neil LaBute, and and Jon Robin Baitz, amongst many others. He earned a Tony-nom for REASONS TO BE PRETTY, and Obie and Lucille Lortel Awards for the original Off-Broadway production of OTHER DESERT CITIES.

Trustus Theatre will start the new year in the Richard and Debbie Cohn Trustus Side Door Theatre on January 3rd at 8:00pm with a collection of topical plays by some of America's most acclaimed playwrights: Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays. With marriage laws changing in South Carolina, this production will stand as a powerfully relevant piece in the intimate 50-seat theatre. Robert Webb re-joins the Olivier award-winning comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense on tour from February - April 2015 following his West End run earlier this year. Jason Thorpe will play Jeeves and the role of Seppings will be played by Christopher Ryan from February - June 2015. The trio will be taking over from John Gordon Sinclair (Jeeves), James Lance (Bertie Wooster) and Robert Goodale (Seppings).

The Public Theater announced a second extension for the critically acclaimed FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3), a world premiere play written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair Suzan-Lori Parks. Directed by Jo Bonney, FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3) will now run through Sunday, December 7. It was originally scheduled to close on November 16 and extended the first time through November 30.
