SYMPHONY IN THE GLEN (SIG) and INDEPENDENT SHAKESPEARE CO. (ISC) are collaborating for a third year to present an evening performance, SIGNIFYING NOTHING! led by SIG Music Director, Arthur B. Rubinstein, on the closing weekend of THE GRIFFITH PARK FREE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots will celebrate its landmark 1000th performance on Broadway on Wednesday, August 26th with a ticket giveaway and "fabulous footwear" contest for fans.

On last night's TONIGHT SHOW, the cast of Broadway's AMAZING GRACE performed the show's eponymous tune. Check out the appearance below!

The Marquis Theatre Box Office (46th Street between Broadway & 8th Avenue) officially opens today, Monday, August 17 for ON YOUR FEET!, the new Broadway musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, nineteen-time GRAMMY winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan. ON YOUR FEET! opens on Broadway on Thursday, November 5, 2015, following preview performances beginning Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Marquis Theatre.  The musical, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray) and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, Memphis) with an original book by Academy Award winner Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman, The Bodyguard Musical), lands on Broadway following a world premiere summer engagement at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago.

Broadway In Chicago and cast members from the Pre-Broadway World Premiere of GOTTA DANCE, the sparkling new tour of 42nd STREET, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER, IF/THEN, Emerald City Theatre's A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS, BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, Roundabout Theatre Company's CABARET, DIRTY DANCING - THE CLASSIC STORY ON STAGE, Disney's NEWSIES and Disney's THE LION KING.

Broadway In Chicago will offer a free Summer Concert at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park on Monday, August 17 at 6:15 p.m. Hosted by ABC 7 Chicago's Janet Davies, from the entertainment and lifestyle program 190 NORTH, the concert will feature cast members from ten fantastic Broadway shows.

KINKY BOOTS, the smash-hit musical that brings together four- time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony® Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), opens at Omaha's Orpheum Theater Tuesday, October 20, as part of the Omaha Performing Arts' Broadway series.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will take over the coveted role of 'Lola' in the Tony Award®-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on November 21, 2015. Brady will succeed Broadway's original (and current) award-winning 'Lola,' Billy Porter. Porter has played over 800 performances in the role and won both a Tony Award and a Grammy Award for his work in the production. His final historic performance in Kinky Boots will be November 20, 2015.

Ghostlight Records will release the Original Broadway Cast Recording of It Shoulda Been You - starring Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess and Lisa Howard - with a new release date. T

Pro Football Hall of Famer, TV commentator and husband to Kathie Lee Gifford Frank Gifford has died at 84 according to a statement from NBC News and his family.

Broadway In Chicago has announced the return engagement of Disney's NEWSIES. Back by popular demand, Disney's NEWSIES will play the Oriental Theatre (24 W Randolph) July 28 through August 7, 2016.

DPAC has just announced key event statistics for the venue's recently completed seventh season. Total attendance hit a new high mark of 448,998 guests, topping DPAC's last record of 421,000 set in the 2011 / 2012 season. The seventh season also set new records with total events (224 events), total sellouts (112 sellout performances) and number of season seat members (15,167) for the signature series, SunTrust Broadway at DPAC.  

Country Music Legend Vince Gill took home another award to add to his 20 Grammy and 18 Country Music Awards when he received the 2015 Marquee Award presented by the League of Historic American Theatres (LHAT) at its Annual Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nederlander will soon be funneling a new hunk of real estate profit (we hope) into the arts in New York City. The organization just sold nearly 20,000 square feet of air above its Neil Simon Theatre for $8.9 million (that's $450 per square foot) to a group working on a Dream Hotel project.
