Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is delighted to present an encore presentation of Fancy Nancy, The Musical as part of its fourth TYA Family Season. Book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo, music by Danny Abosch and directed by Alex Bueno, based on original staging by Kelly Todd, Fancy Nancy, the Musical will preview from October 5 through October 7; regular performances will begin October 7th and continue through October 28 on the Cripe Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

Classical Theatre Company returns to the great Arthur Conan Doyle for the first time since the 2014-15 season's smash hit, The Speckled Band: An Adventure of Sherlock Holmes. Engaged to reprise their roles as the detective and Dr. Watson are CTC Executive Artistic Director John Johnston and CTC company artist Andrew Love. "I've been in many plays over my career, but I've never had the chance to play the same character in different plays," says Love. "I'm really looking forward to this challenge."

Mid-Michigan's award-winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, kicks off Lucky Season 13 with the Michigan Premiere of Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson.  Performances for this stunningly beautiful play begin Thursday, September 20 and run through Sunday, October 21.  Tickets are now on sale.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is excited to announce the fifth show in its 20th Anniversary Season ... The Other Place. Written by Sharr White and directed by Matthew McCray, The Other Place will preview from September 21 through September 28; regular performances will begin September 29 and continue through October 21 at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Fyda-Mar Stage.

American Blues Theater announces the cast for its 2018-2019 season opener, Flyin' West, written by Pearl Cleage and directed by Artistic Affiliate Chuck Smith. Flyin' West features Sydney Charles (Fannie Dove), Wardell Julius Clark (Frank Charles), Tiffany Renee Johnson (Minnie Renee Johnson), Joslyn Jones (Miss Leah), Tiffany Oglesby (Sophie Washington) and Henri Watkins (Wil Parish).

Twenty years ago, in October 1998, an openly gay college student named Matthew Shephard was kidnapped, beaten, and left tied to a fence on the prairie outside Laramie, Wyoming. A month later, a troupe of actors descended among the town to interview residents and probe the motives behind the murder. What resulted is a riveting series of snapshots that reveal a town grappling with the truth of unmasked hatred, The Laramie Project.

ArtsWest will open the 2018/19 season on September 20 with SKELETON CREW, the Seattle premiere of Dominique Morisseau's powerful final entry in her celebrated Detroit Cycle. Performances will run Thursday through Sunday until October 14.

American Blues Theater begins its 2018-2019 Season with the Chicago revival of Flyin' West, written by Pearl Cleage and directed by Artistic Affiliate Chuck Smith. Flyin' West runs October 5 - November 3, 2018 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. The official press opening is Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is excited to announce the extension of its summer musical ... Big Fish. Originally scheduled to close on July 29th, Chance Theater will be adding the following performances: Friday, August 3 at 8pm; Saturday, August 4 at 3pm & 8pm; Sunday, August 5 at 3pm. All performances will be at Bette Aitken theater arts Center on the Cripe Stage.

Prospect Theater Company announces the line-up of artists participating in its next IGNITE Series event, an ongoing concert series featuring today's new voices shaping tomorrow's musicals.

Each year, as a part of the Jilline Ringle Solo Performance Program, 1812 Productions hosts residencies for three female solo artists, providing them with essential time and space to continue development of original solo works.  This year, 1812 Productions and the Advisory Board of the Jilline Ringle Solo Performance Program are pleased to award residencies to Folaranmi Afolayan, Pratima Agrawal, and Alexandra Tatarsky. The summer residencies will take place from Monday, July 9th through Sunday, July 15st.

This summer Polka Theatre has plenty in store for little ones and families with classes and workshops, both term time clubs and holiday workshops. Take Part workshops provide the opportunities for everyone to get involved at Polka. From holiday workshops to after-school clubs, children can step behind the scenes to create their own performances, have fun and learn new skills for ages 6 months - 14 years.

The Williamston Theater, mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company located at 122 S. Putnam in downtown Williamston, celebrates Lucky Season 13 by continuing to bring unique theatrical experiences with two World Premieres, two Michigan Premieres, a Pulitzer Prize Winner, and a co-production with our friends at Tipping Point Theatre.  The 2018-2019 Season will include: Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson, A Hunting Shack Christmas by Jessica Lind Peterson, To Quiet the Quiet by Christy Hall, The Gin Game by D.L. The House Theatre of Chicago is proud to announce casting and the production team for the company's season opener, Borealis. Director Monty Cole helms the professional premiere of playwright Bennett Fisher's epic adventure through the corporate guts of Big Oil. Borealis runs August 30 through October 21 at Chopin Theatre's Upstairs Theater, 1543 W. Division St., Previews begin Thursday, August 30 and play through Friday, September 7.

American Blues Theater, Chicago's second oldest Equity Ensemble, under the continued leadership of Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside, announces the submission period for the National 2019 Blue Ink Playwriting Award. Playwrights are invited to submit one (1) manuscript for consideration. The winner will have the opportunity to further develop their script with American Blues Theater. The submission period runs July 1 - August 31, 2018. Submissions are accepted at AmericanBluesTheater.com.
