Commissioned by the theatre departments of the Big Ten universities, Good Kids, by Naomi Iizuka, is loosely based on the events of the 2012 Steubenville, Ohio, rape case. The play asks, "How can this happen? What fosters a culture where sexual assault is prevalent? And how has social media effected culpability?" A candid look at sexual assault on college campuses, Good Kids will keep the conversation going long after the play has ended. Check out a first look at the production below!

Soho Rep Extends 10 OUT OF 12

In response to popular demand, Soho Rep., in association with John Adrian Selzer, extends the world premiere of 10 out of 12 by Anne Washburn (Mr. Burns) to July 5. The production, which opens on June 10, reunites the playwright with the Obie Award-winning director Les Waters, Artistic Director at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In 10 out of 12, a company of theatre artists is engaged in the very peculiar-and uniquely impossible-task of making a new play. Based on notes Washburn took during her past technical rehearsals, this Soho Rep. commission is a wry and absorbing look at how work forms us and deforms us.

American Theater Company Artistic Director PJ Paparelli Dies at 40

The Chicago Tribune writes that PJ Paparelli, artistic director of Chicago's American Theater Company for seven years, died today, May 21, 2015 following a car accident while on vacation in Scotland earlier this week. He was 40.
