Cast Announced for THE HOUSE THAT WILL NOT STAND at Victory Gardens

Victory Gardens Theater concludes its 41st season with Midwest Premiere of The House That Will Not Stand by Ensemble Playwright Marcus Gardley, directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. The House That Will Not Stand runs June 10 - July 10, 2016, with the press performance on Friday, June 17, 2016, at 7:30 pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

Lauren Molina, Heidi Armbruster & More to Take Part in Keen Teens Benefit Reading Next Week

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company will present a benefit reading in honor of the Tenth Season of Keen Teens on Monday March 21st at The Clurman Theatre, Theatre Row.   Casts will feature current Keen Teens, KT alumni, and professional actors including Heidi Armbruster, Laura Esterman, Peter Jay Fernandez, Autumn Hurlbert, Ted Koch, KK Moggie, Lauren Molina, Chris Perfetti, Jay Russell, Conor Ryan, and Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein as 'Principal Forsman.' All proceeds from the 10th Anniversary Readings will help support the continued growth of the Keen Teens program.

Victory Gardens Sets Cast of HILLARY AND CLINTON World Premiere

Victory Gardens Theater announces casting for the next show of its 41st season, the world premiere of Hillary and Clinton by Lucas Hnath, directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. Hillary and Clinton runs April 1 - May 1, 2016, with the press performance on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 7:30 pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

The Hub to Present IN A WORD

Fresh off its rolling World Premiere, the mind bending IN A WORDbrings playwright Lauren Yee back to The Hub. Three time Helen Hayes nominee Kerri Rambowleads the cast as Fiona, a mother wrestling with the loss of her son Tristan, kidnapped years earlier. Rambow is no stranger to Yee's work having earned rave reviews playing the Hatmaker's Wife in Hub's production of THE HATMAKER'S WIFE (formally A MAN, HIS WIFE, AND HIS HAT).

Children's Theatre Company Sets 2016-17 Season

Children's Theatre Company is proud to announce its 2016-2017 season which includes four musicals, two CTC audience favorites, and two world premiere productions including the development of a new Dr. Seuss musical based on the story of the Sneetches and an epic new play by Naomi Iizuka.

Keen Company's Teens Program Returns for 10th Year

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company (Jonathan Silverstein - Artistic Director, Mark Armstrong - Keen Teens Producer) will present the Tenth Season of Keen Teens.  This season's offerings will be Thirty Million, a new musical with music and lyrics by Max Vernon; book by Jason Kim, directed by Mark Armstrong, with choreography by Brad Landers and musical direction by Lena Gabrielle; Landlines by Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen, directed by Liz Carlson; and How The Moon Would Talk by Nick Gandiello, directed by Sash Bischoff. Auditions will be February 3rd through 5th. Teatro Vista to Premiere WHERE DID WE SIT ON THE BUS?

Teatro Vista, in association with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and Victory Gardens Theater, presents the world premiere of Where Did We Sit on the Bus?, created and performed by Brian Quijada and directed by Victory Gardens' Artistic Director, Chay Yew. The production will take place at the Storefront Theater, 66 E. Randolph St. Chicago. Opening/Press night is Thursday, March 17 at 7:30 pm.  Regular performances are from Friday, March 18 through Sunday, April 10. Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Preview performances run from Thursday, March 10 through Wednesday, March 16. All tickets are $15. Arena Stage and American Alliance for Theatre & Education to Host National Symposium, 1/8-10

Arena Stage and the American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE) will host the Devise and Conquer Symposium January 8-10, 2016, a hands-on symposium to explore a variety of approaches to devising original theater. The three-day event brings together arts educators and professional artists from across the country for three days of interactive workshops, discussions and performances in Washington, D.C. at the Mead Center for American Theater.
