THE MUSICAL -- it's the Nutcracker like you've never seen it before - to be presented this holiday season in Mamaroneck and London, featuring  music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, book and lyrics by Nancy Holson, and arrangements by Bruce Kiesling with Paul and David Rigano.

Casting is today announced for the world premiere of  NUTCRACKER! THE MUSICAL, which takes the classic ETA Hoffmann tale and Tchaikovsky's soaring classical music - familiar to fans of The Nutcraker ballet - and gives them a thrilling modern twist, with enchanting new Musical Theatre arrangements.

Nutcracker! Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents the TRU PRODUCER BOOT CAMP: Essentials of Self-Producing, on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 1pm-5pm at the Desotelle NuBox Theatre, 311 W. 43rd Street, 3rd floor.

The original 1960's inspired sci-fi musical WILD WOMEN OF PLANET WONGO gets an immersive, dance-party infused production beginning June 11. This theatrical extravaganza will transform the bar and gallery space of Bushwick's Brooklyn Fireproof into Planet Wongo where audience members can dance, interact with sexy alien beings and be part of the show. Wongo is based on a concept by Ben Budick with music by Dave Ogrin, lyrics by Ben Budick, Steve Mackes and Dave Ogrin and a book by Steve Mackes. David Rigano directs. Performances begin June 11.

South Florida audiences will once again have the opportunity to see theatre for free, check out new plays in development by South Florida playwrights, and tell the world what the arts - and theatre - mean to them. The success of last summer's Get in Bed With the Arts program and play reading series indicated to the League that theatre patrons are ready and willing to try new theatrical experiences, and even cross county lines to do it.

On May 12, 2014 the Jewish Theater Festival will launch the first of it's eight shows, 'The Rigano Songbook' at the Mandell JCC in West Hartford, Connecticut. The J*Fest is the first Festival of contemporary Jewish theater and entertainment that is hosted and supported by local community organizations.
