The Broadway at Birdland concert series was thrilled to present Glenn Close and the cast of Sunset Boulevard in "Vintage Hollywood," a fundraising concert for Bring Change 2 Mind, which works to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced more performers for SONDHEIM AT SEVEN, this season's Gala Benefit production, on Tuesday, June 13th at 7 PM at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street, NYC).

Tony Award Winner Cynthia Erivo took to BroadwayWorld.com's Facebook page to respond to Glenn Close's public apology for missing a performance on Mother's Day due to illness. 

This evening, Tony Award winner, Glenn Close, took to Facebook to issue and open and heartfelt apology to audiences at Sunset Boulevard for her absence from the show on Mother's Day.

Featuring a full orchestra and chorus under the direction of John Bell, performers for the evening include Nancy Anderson, Melissa Errico, Mark Evans, Danielle Ferland, Malcolm Gets, Jeremy Jordan, Rebecca Luker  Howard McGillin, Ryan Silverman and Max Von Essen, plus more to be announced and special surprise guests!

Award winners Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will sing Broadway melodies to support musical theatre scholarships at the 3rd annual Brooklyn Children's Theatre's SPRING SING on Monday, April 24, 2017. Kristen, an Oscar and Grammy winner, co-wrote Broadway's first a capella show, In Transit. Bobby, co-creator of Book of Mornon and Avenue Q, is the youngest ever person to win an EGOT - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards. The pair are currently adapting their hit film Frozen for Broadway release in Spring, 2018.

Just last night, Theatre Forward and Chairman James S. Turley led a celebration to support American theatre at the annual Chairman's Awards Gala at The Pierre New York (2 East 61st Street at Fifth Avenue). The Chairman's Awards Gala supports the work of Theatre Forward, which is dedicated to advancing American theatres and its communities through its Educating Through Theatre and Advancing Strong Theatre initiatives.

Producers Paul Blake and Mike Bosner and The Nederlander Organization announced today the launch of an online ticket lottery for Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical, Sunset Boulevard. Acclaimed actress Glenn Close has headed back to Broadway to play the iconic role of faded Hollywood star Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Sunset Boulevard, which won her a Tony in 1995. With tickets on sale beyond the reported closing date of May 28th, patrons will now have even more chances to check out the star studded production.

Three-time Tony Award-winner Glenn Close won London's Evening Standard Award for her iconic portrayal of Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Sunset Boulevard. Close made her West End debut in bravura sold-out limited engagement at the English National Opera (ENO) in April 2016. The award was presented last night, Sunday, November 13, at a ceremony hosted by Sir Elton John and Evening Standard owner Evgeny Lebedev.

PREMIERES, the New York-based music theater organization whose mission is 'to bring new music theater to light,' is sharing the success of this season's Inner Voices, the biannual series of solo works featuring new teams of playwrights and composers, now playing through October 29th at The TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues). Recently announced as a Critic's Pick by The New York Times, this year's program will be filmed by The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Theatre on Film and Tape Archive on Monday, October 24th.
