Barbershop quartets will take center stage at New Brunswick's George Street Playhouse as they present John Markus and Mark St. Germain's a cappella musical comedy, The Fabulous Lipitones on stage beginning November 18. The cast includes You Tube sensation Rohan Kymal, and Broadway veterans Donald Corren, Wally Dunn and Jim Walton. Michael Mastro (The Subject Was Roses) returns to helm the production, and Broadway veteran Michael Lichtefeld will put the quartet through their paces as choreographer.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) announce recent recipients of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Initiative commissions for Manhattan Theatre Club. The commissioned writers are Jeff Augustin (Little Children Dream of God), Courtney Baron (A Very Common Procedure) and Juliana Nash (Murder Ballad), Nell Benjamin (The Explorers Club), Madeline George (The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence), Tom Holloway (And No More Shall We Part), Nathan Jackson (Broke-ology), Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (An Octoroon), Greg Pierce (Slowgirl), and Alexandra Wood (The Initiate).

The Public Theater announced today that BUZZER, by Tracey Scott Wilson, has been added to The Public's 2014-15 spring line-up. Directed by Obie Award-winner Anne Kauffman, the New York premiere of BUZZER marks the return of Wilson to The Public following her acclaimed The Good Negro in 2009 and The Story in 2003.

The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) opens its 2014-15 Mainstage Series with William Shakespeare's dark and twisted tragedy Macbeth. Under the direction of Brant Russell, Assistant Professor of Drama, Macbeth will make its CCM debut Oct. 2 through 5 in CCM's Patricia Corbett Theater, with a preview performance at 8 p.m. tonight, Oct. 1.

While I Yet Live plays a limited, six-week engagement, tonight, September 24, through October 31 at Primary Stages at The Duke on 42nd Street - a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 West 42nd Street). Primary Stages has announced that the world premiere of While I Yet Live will begin performances on Wednesday, September 24 at 7PM. Producers have decided to delay the start of previews due to technical issues.

The Green Plays, five new short plays by Hanna Cheek/Lauren Cregor Devine/Rodney Gardiner/Kevin Townley (Waterwell/ Goodbar), Meaghan Deans (Studio 42/ Ashore, Internet Famous), Jason Kim (Naked Angels/ HBO's Girls), Victor Lesniewski (F*It Club/ Cloven Tongues), and Chris Sullivan (EST/Youngblood/ Metro Cards).

Tony Award-nominee Annaleigh Ashford and star of Book Of Mormon and War Horse, Matt Doyle will headline "Chasing The Day" a new song cycle by songwriter and Kinky Boots Associate Music Director Will Van Dyke. They will also be joined by If/Then star Tamika Sonja Lawrence and Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal) at 54 Below on Monday, November 17, 2014. The four actors will play two shows on November 17th (7:00 PM & 9:30 PM), with direction by Kerry Whigham and musical direction by Dominick Amendum. PAGE 73 has announced the world premiere of YOU GOT OLDER, a new play by 2014 P73 Playwriting Fellow Clare Barron. Directed by Obie Award-winner Anne Kauffman, YOU GOT OLDER will star Tony Award nominee Reed Birney and Brooke Bloom and begins previews on October 29, 2014 on the Mainstage at HERE (145 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10013-1548). YOU GOT OLDER's opening date is currently set for November 6, 2014 and runs through November 22, 2014.

Theatrical Outfit begins its Season of Compassion with the dramatic comedy The Savannah Disputation, written by Georgia-born playwright Evan Smith and, he says, inspired by today's politics and his Savannah grandmother. The show will run August 21 - September 7, 2014. The show will feature Alex Bond, Lane Carlock, Shannon Eubanks and Mark Kincaid. This is the 38th season for Theatrical Outfit, the second-oldest professional theater company in Atlanta, and the home of stories that stir the soul.

Simple Machine, in partnership with the Resident Lab at Charlestown Working Theater, presents a staged reading of Daniel McCoy's new play Epimythium on Sunday, August 24 at 4 PM at the Charlestown Working Theater at 442 Bunker Hill Street in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
