Caroline, or Change is headed to the West End's Playhouse Theatre, led by Olivier Award-winning actress Sharon D. Clarke in a critically acclaimed virtuoso performance. CAROLINE, OR CHANGE Extends Plus £5 Tickets for Youth

It is announced today that the highly anticipated West End production Caroline, Or Change will extend its booking period due to popular demand and will now run in the West End at the Playhouse Theatre from 20 November 2018 to 6 April 2019. Chichester Festival Theatre's critically acclaimed production also enjoyed a sell-out engagement at Hampstead Theatre, and has been nominated today for Best Musical and Best Musical Performance for Sharon D. Clarke in this year's Evening Standard Awards.

Full Casting Announced For West End's CAROLINE OR CHANGE

Full casting has been announced for Caroline, Or Change, the celebrated musical written by Tony Kushner, author of Angels in America, with a soaring score from Tony Award-winning Jeanine Tesori, which will run at the West End's Playhouse Theatre from 20 November 2018 to 9 February 2019.

How do you make a musical about cancer? This latest work from Bryony Kimmings isn't just theatre, but metatheatre. Her voiceovers and the emails published in the programme detail the at times highly personal development process, and a gut punch of a last 15 minutes strip away the comfort of fictional distance. It could be self-indulgent; instead, it becomes an effective method for making us confront that other, bigger question: how do we talk about, prepare for and deal with illness?

Rehearsal images were today released for A Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer, a co-production with Complicite Associates. The production is an all-singing, all-dancing examination of life with a cancer diagnosis. This brand new musical confronts the highs and lows of the scariest word we know. With book by Bryony Kimmings and Brian Lobel, music by Tom Parkinson and lyrics by Bryony Kimmings, and directed by Bryony Kimmings, the production receives its London premiere at the Dorfman Theatre on 14 October (press night on 19 October), following its world premiere at HOME Manchester (20-24 September) and a tour to Exeter Northcott Theatre (28 September-2 October).

Shakespeare's Globe Coming to U.S. Stages, Screens This Year with THE MERCHANT OF VENICE & More

London's critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe, under the artistic direction of Emma Rice, will light up US stages and screens this summer and fall, with a three-city limited engagement of The Merchant of Venice, the return of the popular Globe on Screen cinema series and a special two-night concert collaboration with The Los Angeles Philharmonic at the historic Hollywood Bowl.

BWW Interview: Playwright Phoebe Eclair-Powell on Modern Medea FURY

Phoebe Eclair-Powell began training as an actress at the Drama Centre London, but soon switched over to playwriting. She's worked with the National Youth Theatre on their Epic Stages programme, and her debut play WINK premiered at Theatre503 last year. Next up is FURY, shortlisted for the Verity Bargate Award and winner of the 2015 Soho Theatre Young Writer's Award. This modern Medea centres on a young, single mum in a Peckham council flat and opens at Soho Theatre next week, directed by Hannah Hauer-King.
