SHOWTIME has announced the order for an eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, starring Academy Award® and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind)in the title role and based upon the extensive reporting of Gabriel Sherman in New York magazine and his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room. Sherman co-wrote the initial episode with Oscar® winner Tom McCarthy (Spotlight, Win Win), who will executive produce with Emmy winner Jason Blum. The project is a co-production from SHOWTIME and Blumhouse Television (Sharp Objects, The Normal Heart). The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.

Season two of 'The Terror' anthology is co-created and executive produced by Alexander Woo ('True Blood') and Max Borenstein ('Kong: Skull Island,' 'Godzilla'). Woo is also set to serve as showrunner. The next season of 'The Terror' anthology is expected to air on AMC in 2019 with 10 episodes. The series is distributed internationally by AMC Studios and premieres across AMC Global markets as well as in certain Amazon Prime Video territories. The Orchard Project, a nationally renowned performance laboratory, today announced the six original, independent pilots selected to participate in its first annual Episodic Lab. More than 430 artists applied to the inaugural year of the Episodic Lab, which will help writers develop television and episodic content, working with accomplished showrunners and producers as mentors.
