Producer Allision Ferrier has announced the upcoming Off-Broadway production of BRANDT REITER's new drama END OF PLAY, which will begin performances on April 17th, 2009. Exigent Theatre presents HENRI GABLER, a new play by Alexander Burns adapted from Henrik Ibsen's masterpiece HEDDA GABLER, to be directed by Alexander Burns. The production will start previews on Friday, March 20th at 8pm and open on Sunday March 22nd at 7pm. Performances are Friday, March 20th through Sunday, April 5th.

Theatre for a New Audience's acclaimed production of Othello directed by Arin Arbus in her Off-Broadway directing debut, returns to the stage with the entire cast intact for twelve performances only, April 15 through April 24, at The Duke on 42nd StreetSM, a New 42nd Street? project, 229 West 42nd Street. Othello is following Theatre for a New Audience's production of Hamlet, directed by David Esbjornson. Hamlet begins previews Tuesday, March 17, at 7:30pm, opening Thursday, March 26, at 6:30pm, and running through Sunday, April 12.

As playwright Matthew Lombardo continues to develop the upcoming Arena Stage production of Looped starring four-time Emmy Award-winning Valerie Harper (Rhoda on The Mary Tyler Moore Show) as Tallulah Bankhead, a casting change has taken place. Jay Goede, known for his work on Broadway in Angels in America, A Year with Frog and Toad and Sex and Longing, will now play opposite Harper in the pre-Broadway staging, directed by Rob Ruggiero at Arena Stage at the Lincoln Theatre May 29 through June 28, 2009. The New York Timesi s reporting that Theatre for a New Audience and director, Arin Arbus' critically acclaimed production of Othello will return to the Duke on 42nd Street Theatre, April 15th through 24th. The show will again feature John Douglas Thompson as Othello, Ned Eisenberg as Iago, and Juliet Rylance as Desdemona.

Preview performances will begin on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street), with an opening night set for Sunday, March 29th at 6:30 pm.
