From February 21-March 3, 2013, Houston Ballet presents Stanton Welch's La Bayadère ('The Temple Dancer'), a historic classic staged by Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch and set in royal India of the past.
On Friday, February 1 and Saturday, February 2, 2013, Houston Ballet presents Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal as part of the Cullen Series. One of the missions of the Cullen Series is to introduce the city to exciting contemporary dance makers. Under the artistic direction of Gradimir Pankov, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal will perform Cantata and Four Seasons by Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti. Four Seasons is set to Antonio Vivaldi's score of the same name. The twelve-movement ballet highlights classical technique with contemporary motion. Cantata features live traditional Southern Italian music by Gruppo Musicale Assurd, a quartet of female singers from Italy. Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal will give two performances in the Cullen Theater at Wortham Theater Center in downtown Houston. Houston Chronicle dance critic Molly Glentzer called the 2006 Jubilee of Dance "the event of the season," noting, "The audience gave it a rousing standing ovation." The Jubilee of Dance will be held at Wortham Theater Center in downtown Houston.

From the songwriting team of The Pajama Game, Damn Yankees is filled with hit songs including "Two Lost Souls" and the sultry favorite, "Whatever Lola Wants, Lola Gets." The Paper Mill Playhouse production will slide into Seattle this April. The creative team includes direction by Mark S. Hoebee (Paper Mill's Producing Artistic Director), music direction by Ben Whiteley, and choreography by Denis Michael Jones.

The Community Theatre of Little Rock is presents its Holiday production of 'It's a Wonderful Life'. Show dates are November 17th, 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th at 7:30 pm and November 20th and 27th at 2pm. It is being held at the Public Theatre, located at 616 Center Street, next to Horn's Men's Store in downtown Little Rock.

Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch has announced the company's 2011-2012 season. Four new works enter Houston Ballet's repertoire, including world premieres by Stanton Welch in March 2012 and Nicolo Fonte in May 2012, company premiere of Mark Morris's Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes, as well as a new staging of Giselle by the Kirov-trained dancer Ai-Gul Gaisina in September 2011.
