The Grove Theatre in downtown Upland announces open casting for It's a Wonderful Life! A Radio-on-Stage Show.

Casting is for the following roles:

Announcer - Male, 30s - 50s, with a great "radio voice"

Superintendent of Angels- Female, 40s-50s, commanding yet gentle

Clarence - Male, 50s - 70s, befuddled but lovable angel

George - Male, 30s - 40s, gentle, well-meaning, leading man, plays high school to middle age

Mr. Potter - Male, 50s - 70s, cold, brutal, calculating businessman

Mary - Female, 20s - 40s, George's loving wife, plays high school to middle age

Zuzu Bailey - Female, age 8 - 11, George's youngest daughter

Actor #1 - Male, any age to play Mr. Gower, Harry Bailey, Uncle Billy, Mr. Welch, Officer Bert

Actor #2 - Male, young teen to play Young George, Petey Bailey, and Jimmy the Bird

Actor #3 - Male, any age to play Pop Bailey, Impatient Neighbor, Dr. Campbell, Sam, Randy, Carter

Actor #4 - Male, any age to play Ernie, Charlie, Martini, Sheriff?Actor #5 - Male, any age to play Eddy, Nick, Toll Taker

Actress #1 - Female, any age to play Eustace, Mrs. Hatch, Bank Teller

Actress #2 - Female, any age to play Tilley, Mrs Thompson, and Janie Bailey

Actress #3 - Female, any age to play Ma Bailey, Violet, Mrs. Davis

Sound Effects person (may double as announcer) - Able to create live sound effects on stage (a very fun role)

All actors will also develop their onstage "actor" character (the 1940s actor taking part in this "radio production").

The auditions will be held on Sunday and Monday, October 16th and 17th from 7 - 9 pm at The Grove Theatre, 276 E. Ninth Street, Upland, CA.

    * Bring a headshot and bio?    * Be prepared to do a monologue

The show opens December 2nd and runs on weekends through December 17th.
