From the creators of last year's smash hit Cinderella, comes the new world premiere musical Snow White that reminds us the true reflection of beauty and happiness can only be found within.

The Brazilian Endowment for the Arts has extended its musical series Music and Música to the fall thanks to a warmly received and successful summer series debut. Music and Música is a riveting union of Brazilian and American musical cultures.

The Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre has announced that national radio host Robert Aubry Davis (WETA's 'Around Town' and Sirius/XM Radio) will be making his stage debut, playing the iconic role of Edna in its upcoming production of the celebrated musical Hairspray. Directed by Signature Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer, Hairspray will run from November 21st through January 29th. Based on the 1988 cult film directed by John Waters, Hairspray features music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, and a book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan. The musical, which played on Broadway for 6 ½ years, took home eight 2003 Tony Awards, including 'Best Musical.'

Continuing its long-standing support and connection to the African-American community, McDonald's will recognize a distinguished list of five prominent African-Americans who influence and inspire greatness through outstanding community service at the 2011 365Black Awards.

Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr. have enjoyed tremendous success over the last four decades as recording artists, performers and authors. They have received seven Grammy Awards and earned 15 gold and three platinum records, and enjoyed starring roles on television and stage. Both as a duo and as lead vocalists of The Fifth Dimension, one of the most popular singing groups in the late 60s and early 70s, they have performed to sold-out concerts around the world. This year marks the 10th Annual Festival which only showcases student written works. All productions are student directed, acted and produced, making the festival an ideal platform for students to display their talents on the historic Hart House Theatre stage.
