Fillmore Live Entertainment Group Acquires Yoshi's San Francisco

Yoshi's San Francisco, the Jazz Club & Japanese Restaurant which opened in the Historic Fillmore District in November 2007, has been sold to a new ownership group, Fillmore Live Entertainment Group, LLC. The new ownership group has infused new capital and is committed to ensuring that this will be a seamless and successful transition from one ownership group to the other. Fillmore Live Entertainment Group, which has retained Bob Burke of Ovation Consulting Restaurant + Hospitality to oversee operations, will take over Yoshi's San Francisco on Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival will present a concert open to the public for the first time in New York on Tuesday evening, April 8, 2014 at 7:45 p.m. at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, Cary Hall, 450 West 37th Street, between Ninth and Tenth Avenues. A special orchestra-the Cape Cod Gala Orchestra, conducted by Liam Burke-has been assembled for this occasion. Noted WQXR radio announcer Jeff Spurgeon will host the evening and Nancy B. Barry, First President of the Festival, as well as Honorary Artistic Chair Charles Hamlen, V.P. of Orchestra of St. Luke's and Co-Founder of IMG Artists, will be on hand for the event.

Federal Arts Minister Tony Burke has announced the winners of the inaugural Australian Arts in Asia Awards at an event in Sydney tonight. The Awards celebrate the important role of Australian artists and arts organisations working in Asia and attracted 120 entries.
NBCUniversal Taps Kimberley D. Harris for VP of General Counsel

NBCUniversal announced today that Kimberley D. Harris has been named Executive Vice President, General Counsel. Ms. Harris, who is based in New York, will report directly to Steve Burke, Chief Executive Officer, NBCUniversal. Her appointment begins on September 3rd.

Producers Andrew Lloyd Webber, David Ian and David Mirvish have welcomed Simon Burke to their Toronto production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Burke, a versatile star of stage and screen originally from Australia but with a large body of work in the U.K., will take over the role of Captain von Trapp, having played the role in the West End London production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, opposite the 'Marias' of Connie Fisher and Summer Strallen.

Hedgerow Theatre Company proudly announces the appointment of Tom Burke to the position of Managing Director, effective March 2, 2009. He joins Hedgerow as the theatre is in the midst of its 86th season. Mr. Burke will be partnering with the company's Producing Artistic Director Penelope Reed to lead the year-round theatre company that builds skills and launches careers in its Heritage Series and features top equity talent in its Signature Series.
