Eugene O'Neill's tour de force, Long Day's Journey Into Night, directed by Miles Potter, and starring Seana McKenna and Scott Wentworth, is now on stage at the Studio Theatre.

Native Earth Performing Arts is pleased to present Vancouver Moving Theatre's production of Weaving Reconciliation: Our Way to close its 35th season. Created by an award winning team of Renae Morriseau (Saulteaux Cree), Rosemary Georgeson (Coast Salish/Dene Sahtu), and Savannah Walling, Weaving Reconciliation: Our Way hits the road for its Premiere National Tour with a stop in Toronto from June 6 to 9 at Aki Studio.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere production of The Roommate by Jen Silverman, directed by Tony Award Winner Phylicia Rashad. A unique story that expresses how early-life choices can lead to mid-life challenges and the humorous, touching and unexpected rewards of bridging the divide, the Steppenwolf production will feature ensemble members Ora Jones as Robyn and Sandra Marquez as Sharon.

Missing tells a story everybody knows, about a woman no one remembers.

City Opera Vancouver with Pacific Opera Victoria presents the world premiere of Missing, a profoundly moving and pivotal opera that sheds new light on a national crisis, November 3,7,9 & 11 at 8pm, and November 5 at 2pm at The York Theatre. Written by distinguished Canadian M tis playwright Marie Clements, with a gripping score by JUNO Award-winning composer Brian Current, this work confronts the immense tragedy of more than 1,200 missing and murdered First Nations, Inuit and M tis women and girls in Canada, and the devastation to communities and families both First Nations and non-First Nations left to grapple with their loss.

NACL Theatre (North American Cultural Laboratory) premieres COURAGE, based on Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and her Children, a site specific, immersive theatrical journey on Governors Island, September 22-24, 2pm. Film actress Debra Winger joins the 25-member cast in a cameo role.

The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival (September 21-24) is excited to welcome a new touring production of the Tennessee Williams play Ten Blocks on the Camino Real, directed by Festival Curator David Kaplan and performed by Abibigromma, the national drama company of Ghana.

The current state of criminal justice and incarceration in Illinois will be discussed following two performances of Not About Nightingales - the play Tennessee Williams wrote in response to a real-life 1938 atrocity in which four inmates of a Philadelphia prison were literally roasted to death.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today acclaimed director, actor, singer and 2017 Steppenwolf Women in the Arts honoree Phylicia Rashad will direct Steppenwolf's Chicago premiere production of The Roommate, a comedy by Jen Silverman.

The Houston Symphony announced today that Tony Award winner and three-time Emmy Award nominee Phylicia Rashad will join the cast of its new semi-staged, concert version of Beethoven's Fidelio, the composer's only opera, March 31 and April 2.

The cast of Raven Theatre Company's premiere of Tennessee Williams' Not About Nightingales has been announced, with Raven Founding Artistic Director Michael Menendian directing. The play's action revolves around the tyrannical prison warden Boss Whalen's inhumane treatment of the inmates in his island prison.  Deciding they have had enough, and inspired by their de facto leader Butch, the inmates of Hall C fight back by waging a hunger strike. When it garners media attention, Boss Whalen responds with torture.  All the while, Whalen's inmate assistant Jim and new secretary Eva struggle with the moral dilemma of either exposing the strike and losing their jobs or assisting Whalen in keeping it under wraps. 

???????Fevered Sleep produces thought-provoking projects that challenge people to re-think their relationships with each other and with the world.  'MEN & GIRLS DANCE' - which comes to London for the first time this April - is politically charged, dynamic, delightful, and is performed by a cast of five professional male dancers and nine girls aged 8-11 from around London.  With full support of parents, the girls spend two weeks with the company devising and rehearsing the show before the public performances.

Following two very successful engagements in Toronto in 2012 and 2015, Odysseo by Cavalia returns to Ontario next summer with its debut run in Mississauga.
